Ballou's Pinkard heading south
Ballou wide receiver-defensive back Larry Pinkard orally committed to Old Dominion over the weekend, according to Knights assistant coach Todd Amis.
Pinkard, a second-team All-Met, epitomized this past year's unheralded yet very skilled Ballou team that reached the Turkey Bowl for the first time in three years, before losing to H.D. Woodson, 30-26.
Don't expect Pinkard to be limited to the secondary at Old Dominion. This past season, the 5-foot-10 Pinkard showed he could thrive in a variety of positions. He scored 16 touchdowns on nine receptions, four rushes, two interception returns and a punt return. He finished with 32 catches for 475 yards and 22 carries for 317 yards.
