Young is a Hokie ... for sure
Ricardo Young's flirtation with New Mexico proved to be just that.
The H.D. Woodson All-Met quarterback was in class at Virginia Tech when the spring semester began on Tuesday, according to a Woodson assistant coach. Even though the Hokies' sports information department put out a release last week saying that Young and five other early enrollees planned to begin class this week, Young was still eligible to go anywhere else. He cannot sign a letter of intent with Virginia Tech -- or anyone else, for that matter -- until Feb. 3
Last month, Young scared plenty of Hokies fans when he took an official visit to New Mexico, even though he orally committed to Virginia Tech last spring.
