Three locals nominated for U.S. Army bowl
Three suburban Maryland juniors are among those who have been nominated for next year's U.S. Army All-American Bowl high school football all-star game.
DeMatha offensive lineman Cyrus Kouandjio and defensive lineman Vincent Croce and defensive back Blake Countess of Good Counsel are among the more than 400 nominees for the Jan. 8 game in San Antonio.
Two other Maryland players also were nominated: Gilman quarter Darius Jennings and Owings Mill offensive lineman Donovan Smith.
District and Virginia nominations have not yet been announced.
