McReynolds hitting the West Coast
St. John's standout defensive lineman Kevin McReynolds began his West Coast swing on Thursday, with visits to UCLA, Oregon and Arizona State before the Cadets pick up their equipment Tuesday for preseason practice.
McReynolds, who is 6 feet 3 and 300 pounds, is considered one of the Washington area's top recruits.
He plans to take official visits this fall to Oregon and Arkansas and posted on his Twitter account on Friday that UCLA also is in that group after his initial visit to that school.
He will fly from Los Angeles to Oregon on Sunday, then make a brief stop in Tempe on his way back to Washington on Monday.
"I'll be coming to training camp jetlagged," McReynolds said.
