O'Connell F Larry Savage commits to Delaware

O'Connell forward Larry Savage has committed to play for Delaware.

Savage, a 6-foot-5 senior, also had scholarship offers from Rhode Island, Virginia Commonwealth, North Carolina-Wilmington, Robert Morris and Winthrop.

"I just went on a visit and felt like it was the right place," Savage said, explaining that Delaware had been his first choice all along and that it was his first campus visit. "I loved everything I saw. I loved the coaches. I loved everything about it. That's where I really wanted to go."

Delaware had a good in with Savage; assistant coach Mike Pegues was on O'Connell's staff during Savage's sophomore year.
