Redskins Insider: October 7, 2007 - October 13, 2007

Marcus Doubtful; Randle El Questionable

Everypone else probable. Marcus and Antwaan were the only guys to miss practice. Daniels practiced - no one thought he would be able to, including him - and while listed as probable said the coaches could still opt to be cautious and hold him out until next week. He also...

TCCLs

144 TCCLs - The Defense. Everyone associated with it was bringing the heat Sunday from the coaches to the reserves. Fewest net yards allowed by the Skins since Oct. 1992. Not too shabby. Now, can they do it again in Green Bay? 125.3 TCCLs - JC. Congrats on the Player...

No-Trade Answer

Andre Carter is the guy. He really wanted to be here when he signed and wanted to find a home. Not the Skins are trying to trade anyone before Monday's deadline, but on the off chance they did ever want to deal him,. well, he'd have to consent to it...

Injury Update

Sellers practiced fully Daniels, Washington, Randle El did not practice and we'll see if any of them play. Smoot had stomach flu, was throwing up and was sent home so he does not get anyone else sick. Expected to be fine by the weekend....

Practice

Smoot was not on the practice field, so we'll see what the coaches say about that after practice. Randle El and Marcus Washington were not practicing due to their hamstring injuries and were jogging on the side. Mike Sellers (heel) was back at practice, at least in unfiorm and taking...

Brandon Lloyd Ramblings (there is some news in this item, but you gotta dig deep)

Anyone who has been paying attention at all has seen that the Brandon Lloyd experiment has looked doomed for a long time. Unfortunately, a lot of people who bog for a living don't, and it's always easier to be seduced by someone's car or charm than it is delve more...

Injuries

Santana practiced fully and everyone seems of the same mind that he will play Sunday (imagine that!). Sellers, Daniels, Marcus Washington and Randle El did not practice. Gibbs said they all could progress through the week and Sellers in particular seemed precautionary. As for Randle El, Gibbs said "hopefully we'll...

Practice

Randy Thomas (out for another few months at least with his torn triceps), Mike Sellers (heel) and Antwaan Randle El (hamstring). We'll have to wait until after practice to see how much work Phillip Daniels (shoulder) and Santana Moss (groin) took. But they were in pads and participating in the...

Jason Campbell NFC Offensive Player of Week

Good for JC. Great kid. More good stuff to come. Also, Andre Carter was nominated for NFC Defensive Player of the Week, but didn't get it (not sure who did yet, haven't had time to check)....

A Tale Of Two Favres

Anyone else see the tale of two Favre's Sunday night? Wonder which one shows up this weekend. Hard to know for sure. The Pack was rolling towards a blowout in the first half - a couple of fumbles by a rookie WR killed them - and Favre was in the...

Monday Afternoon H-Back (UPDATED)

Man, where should we start? So much to cover. Bottom line is that was about as thorough of a win as you can have, even taking the score out of it. The Skins defense completely turned the Lions into what they never want to be - a run-first team for...

Santana and Antwaan Feeling Better

Hey there, working on the Monday Afternoon H-Back and will get it up soon. A lot of kudos to go around and also running around doing a ton of interviews out here all morning, so not able to sit down at the computer for more than 5 minutes at a...

Randle El Done For the Day Out With Hamstring

Got hurt on the 37 yard play. Not on the sidelines. Redskins say he is done for the day. We'll see how bad it is after the game....

Inactives - Moss Out

Moss is out - Thrash starts Golston, Macklin, Boyd, Boschetti DeMulling Thomas are also out. (Golston more of a run stuffer and this is a pass-first team; only going with 7 D Linemen in this game, Lorenzo Alexander active for first time and the other back up D Line rush...

Can You Dig It? (AKA, Lions, Come Out To Play)

A few things got cut from my story today - lot going in the sports world this weekend and only so much space to go around - including what I thought was one of the more important sentences in the whole piece. So I'll paste it here: "The Redskins ignored...
