A Call For Help

For the next three days we should be able to mingle with the stars a bit at parties and events. Given the collective wit you guys display, I am casting out for suggestions on possible questions to celebrities.

Undoubtedly, I will concoct a few snide queries myself - some at least tangentially related to football - and figured you guys had some thoughts as well. We're supposed to have access to J. Lo, Carmen Electra, Jenny McCarthy, David Spade, Chris Rock, P Diddy (maybe), Mark Wahlberg, the huge dude from The Green Mile, Snoop Dogg, Daisy Fuentes, and pretty much every current or former NFL player (you can't go to Starbucks without running into some 1980s QB).

So lets exercise our brain muscles people. And, of course, let's tiptoe right up to the velvet rope of poor taste, but not leap over it if you catch my drift (bangbros - that means you).

Other Stuff: Went to dinner with a two friends I made during my stint at the Detroit Freer Press back in the day, and we kept it lowkey. Trying to save myself for the weekend. Nothing crazy happened,. Stayed out of South Beach and near the hotel, which, by the way, never ceased to amaze me ...

Yesterday evening I tried to do a little work out by the pool and get some writing down in the breeze. Bad idea. A flock of large birds has taken over the area; no one has bothered to clean the pool in years, or clean one of the six broken-down lounge chairs out there. The birds were circling above in their nest, swooping into the pool and, as best as we could figure out, screaming at my and my friend. They kept making this shrieking sound - I think they were trying to intimidate us/mark their turf (probably hasn't been a human back there in years, so I can't say I blame them) - and we gave up after a while. My buddy Don tried to get in a lounge at one point, and it promptly snapped completely in half as he hit the cement. Thanks again, NFL. Hope whoever set this up got a massive kick back ...

You kind of know sometimes when you should be home. Chloe is sick again running a fever and has some kind of rash, so Lauren had to cancel a trip up to see her parents at their home hear Cooperstown. We'll see what the doctor has to say. She got over the stomach flu thing in like 4 days and had been doing well, but last night it came back. I just hope Lauren doesn't get it. Bad timing all around ... Someone dropped their bag in my IPOD, which I had finally completely downloading my entire CD collection onto, and broke it at Media Day. I feel so lost without it. Supposed to send it back to Apple and get a replacement, but will have to add all the photos and music back to it. Oh well. Okay, heading to the beach now for this celebrity flag football game. Will try to post something on that before the Prince press conference starts, but might not be able to get stuff up until like 3, when Prince is done. I have a feeling he might not actually speak, but hopefully his clothing will cover up the entirety of his backside.
