Albert Haynesworth seeks a W at home in Tennessee

By Rick Maese

Albert Haynesworth is headed back to Tennessee after all -- though he'll still be wearing a Redskins jersey when Washington takes on the Titans Sunday.

"Good to go home. But [I] want to get a victory there," Haynesworth said Monday night. "I've got a lot of friends on that team, coaches I still talk to and stuff like that. It'll be even better to come out of there with a 'W.'"

There's still the matter of getting rid of the lingering taste from Monday night's loss. For Haynesworth, who was coming off three consecutive strong games, the Eagles' loss was nothing he'd want to remember. (For evidence, here's a clip of one play in particular . Haynesworth was slow to get off the ground and Michael Vick found Jason Avant for the Eagles' 93rd touchdown of the game.)

"I think it stings any time you literally get your ass whupped like that," Haynesworth said of Monday's game. "It was embarrassing. I couldn't wait for the game to be over."

Haynesworth is being used primarily in nickel situations, which means he's not spending much time on the field. He noted that by the time he finally entered the game Monday, the Redskins already trailed 21-0.

From start to finish, he didn't see a whole lot that went as planned for Washington.

"We got outcoached, we got outplayed," he said. "They did everything right, and we didn't do really anything right."

What's not as clear is why the Redskins couldn't do anything right. Haynesworth said players still are confident in the scheme and he's comfortable in his new role.

"You can either come out [of the bye week] sharp, fresh. Or you can come out lackadaisical like we did, get killed like we did...," he said. "They just jumped out. It was like we was in practice and they was at a game."

Haynesworth was one of several defensive players who said they had never been a part of such a drubbing. "I think they was racking up BCS points, something like that," Haynesworth said. "They should be ranked No. 1 now."

Players will return to Redskins Park on Wednesday to try to make sure it doesn't happen again. Playing against his former team Sunday, it'd seem Haynesworth has all the incentive he'd need.

So, are you saying a Redskin QB possibly padded his stats when the game was out of reach?

Hmmm, where have I heard that charge before?

that was obviously the worst first quarter (plus one play) i've ever seen from the skins... but you know, with this team, i feel like we're just on the edge of having that happen more often... man that sucked...

He can't play the entire game because the team can't bring that many oxygen bottles with them. I recommend they give London Fletcher the pocket version of a cattle prod to use on Haynie every time he wants to lay in the dirt.

Not quite sure how pointing out that someone is gay is making fun of gays. Maybe you have a little bit of a defensive streak there. You 2 should get together and come on out of the closet. I'm sure it will be quite liberating for you both.

Posted by: PortisPocketsStr8 | November 16, 2010 3:54 PM

Point 1: JC got his first start in 2006 and his last start in 2009. He saw action over the course of 3.5 seasons here, but we'll go with the "roughly 5 seasons".

Main Point: When a QB gets no help from their O-line or WRs, and lacks a run game, they end up playing from behind a lot. Is it really padding stats if they're throwing a lot at the end of the game because they behind 2 scores? I would say no. And last year, the Skins lost 6 games by 1 score or less.

Based on that, I posit ANY QB playing under the conditions McNabb is playing now--or JC last year--can be accused of "padding their stats" because they will often be in a position of having to throw the ball a lot at the end of the game to try and catch up.

It always has been widely assumed that those that claim to have large penises while suggesting others may be smaller are the ones who actually have quite miniscule members and try to quench their own self loathing by trying to make themselves seem superior in some way. I think that point has been proven here. I think it is quite natural to assume that anyone that chooses to have a handle about their love for foreskin is gay.

Sorry for rounding up on the length of the JC era. It was all a blur of mediocrity, all I know is it couldn't have ended soon enough.

You are right, no QB is going to look good when he has poor O-Line and WRs. You're missing the difference between Jason and Donovan and that is leadership. Last night Donovan was talking with offense trying to get it working, in similar circumstances JC would most likely be found sulking on the bench.

I find that you take every opportunity to defend JC laughable bordering on disturbing at this point.

End the Albert Haynesworth lovefest - he was HORRIBLE LAST NIGHT.

First, he is playing only when he wants to.
Second, he is playing only the scheme he wants to.
Third, when he was in the game last night he was pushed around constantly. At times he was a 300 pound plus Weeble. And he tried to cheap shot an Eagle and nearly got us a 15 yard penalty.

Haynesworth needs to go. When your $100 million man is not a highlight reel on his own, you need to get rid of him. Sadly there are those here who will point to one or two plays where is was great - that simply is not good enough. He needs to have a dozen or more impact plays to be worth the money.

The picture that tells the Haynesworth story best is the one in which his fat body was face down on the ground while the play was still happening and he didn't pick himself up off the ground - and he wasn't being held down! EMBARRASSING.

Skins will keep Fat Albert until the end of the season and then trade him to Tennessee for a 4th round pick and feel lucky to get it. God that guy is a hopelessly self absorbed idiot, with no loyalty to his team mates or any pride in himself. Just a baby and a quitter. Remember that big talk when he came to us about how all he wanted to do was do what it took to become a hall of famer. What a joke! Still a journey folks. Gotta get more motivated people in here, even if they are not as talented, at least they will get our sympathy for trying. Tackling is getting worse, offensive line is so inconsistent it is pathetic. God, this is so painful.

However, also noticed Hayneworth shaking his head on numerous occasions -- as if to imply he couldn't believe it, didn't want any part of it, and it wasn't his fault that the defense was getting embarrassed as badly as it was...

If you're ever looking for a textbook illustration of a quitter, look no further than this loser.

Seems the Dude is expecting a warm welcome from his homies.

And a hook up or two with a few high class Tennessee hookstas.

It's a shame Dude has to waste so much playtime at the stadium on Sunday... but I suspect there's still an opportunity for him to pick up a phantom injury or something that keeps him out of the game and away from the sidelines.

(It's not like that hasn't happened already this season or anything.)

Remember that scene in the Full Metal Jacket, when Private Pile gets the hell beaten out of him by the rest of the members of his platoon (bars of soap wrapped in towels)? I think something like that should happen to Haynesworth (just need to figure out how to hold him down). God knows that scene played out over and over and over and over and over on MNF against the Skins. Boy there were a few players/coaches that I would have loved to whack with pure pleasure (think Pvt Joker whaling on Pvt Pile, unleashing all of his frustation after trying to help Pile, unsuccessfully, through boot camp). Maybe the Skins will be "born again hard" as Gunny Hartman put it, after that humiliating beat down...Of course upon which, Pile off's himself, along with Gunny Hartman.
