Why doesn't JR do some investigative reporting and tell us what kind of shape he's in?

Because he's the mayor. DC mayors don't have time to investigate things. They're too busy shaking hands and smoking crack.

I swear, some people need to get a life!

He'll be in shape, he just won't have any idea what to do on the field because he's missed every activity until now.

"400 pounds" is three words.

There ya go Jason!

Go knock on his door, light a bag of poo, and hide in the bushes. If he need oxygen after the first couple of stomps and asks the stripper he picked up the night before to come sub-in for him, then we all will know it's going to be a long year for Fat Al.

Listening to the calls for Albert's head on a platter, or reading the jokes about his weight or condition is sickening to me.

There is still no public indication from AH about his alleged lack of desire to play in a 3-4, or even his lack of desire to play NT. His only quote is that he would play where the team wanted him. There's not clear indication that the Redskins even WANT him to play NT. There's no indication that AH is in any condition other than where he needs to be. There's no indication that AH is too far behind on learning his new position.
Nothing but guesses, rumors and innuendo. Nothing. And this constant drumbeat of "nothing" has whipped a group of mouthbreathers into a frenzy about his rumored attitude and condition. Should Albert be here for the team? Heck yes. Does the team forgive him if he is a dominating force on D? Also heck yes. But repeating an apparently agenda-driven rumor over and over doesn't make it more true. Honestly, a poll about what people think Albert's condition will be? From "Washington Post Editors"? Really? I really wish all would give it a rest until there is evidence of anything other than mere rumor.

Do you think he'll show up because he said he would just miss the non-mandatory practices? What about the fact that by signing a contract to rediculous money, he basically gave his word that he would be ready and willing to do his best, be a leader, lead by example, and do what the coaches ask of him? How'd that work out? He got a whole lot of money, that's one thing for sure.

But that's just it: it doesn't matter what I think. It only matters what his teammates and coaches think, and it matters how he plays on the field. Everything else is just meaningless mental onanism. Yes, he is paid a lot. Would anything be different if he were paid less? How do we know he gave his word that he would lead by example, and how is this evidence that he is not doing his best? He said he would do what the coaches ask of him. As far as I know, they've not asked anything of him yet. As far as I know, he has not missed a mandatory meeting yet. At least wait for him not to show up before hanging him. Then I'll join in.

If he has any gratitude and integrity, he will show up in shape.

But who am I kidding, we all KNOW AH does not possess integrity nor gratitude for the millions he has been give for this season.

AH shows up, in terrible condition, very overweight.

I likes my nose tackles overweight and outta shape. Most defensive coordinators do too. Did you get a look at Mount what-ever his name is from the U (of Alabama).

Hopefully he'll at least be in good enough shape to drag his fat @#$ out of town.

I heard Charles Mann the other day luagh when he was asked if Albert would be in shape. Then he very astutely pointed out the bottom line. He said if he had been paid that much money...he would be doing whatever was asked of him. Anything the coach and team wanted , he would do. The bottom line is the man has been paid more money than any one in his position to do a job and he is loafing....

In preparation for Fat Albert's arrival, the Skins should: 1) Order an industrial strength scale from a slaughter house; 2) Double the catering order; 3 Change the parking signs to "Handicapped and Fat Albert"; 4) Build a special sling and pulley system in the weight room and hold a team building event: whoever can lift Fat Albert the most times wins "Redskins Strongest Man" prize; 5) Put heavy duty shocks on the cart that takes him off the field; 6) Prepare some special wind sprint and heavy duty contact drills for him.

I happen to agree with go team go team. it's crazy because everone remembers AH stating he was working out with his personal trainer a decision he made before Shanahan was named coach, everyone remembers AH coming in and clearing the air about this with Shanahan, everyone remembers Shanahan aknowledging this in the press saying he wasn't happy about it but respected Albert for coming in and talking to him. yet since then everyone has sided with unconfirmed rumors. this is not the M.O. of the typical Redskins fan. I am almost positive alot of you people will be eating your words come wednesday when the mandatory camp opens

Until now...
Was out of shape all last season.
Then he didn't show up this season.
Got into stripper trouble.
What's next?
Injury. He isn't going to play, but wants the money.

Posted by: adrian7 | June 12, 2010 1:00 PM | Report abuse

In great eating shape.

It's not a question of whether Albert will be in shape, but rather what shape he will be. Personally, I'm voting for round.

Posted by: 44fx290 | June 12, 2010 5:56 PM | Report abuse

The Skins will be lucky if he's ONLY 400 lbs. Should have traded him for a third rounder because he won't be worth jack on the team next season. He has no regard for the team, the sport, or himself.

Posted by: tkoho | June 12, 2010 9:18 PM | Report abuse

It's not like he's hard to hide...With all the 'Big Brother' around us, you tell us what shape he's in.

When did 'reporters' get so damn lazy?

Posted by: kahlua87 | June 14, 2010 1:11 PM | Report abuse

Instead of a poll, why don't you guys go to his gym and snap some photos. Quell all doubts. If he is working out like he says, should be easy to find him there. If he's not there, check the buffet line.

Charles Mann needs to just shut the hell up on commenting on another player when we all know that if it was not for Dexter Manley on the other end drawing double and triple he (Mann)would not even be an after thought.Albert Haynesworth will be in shape just to prove the point that he is a better player than we saw last year. I don't think he is a loafer as suggested. It all comes back to the coaching staff and we all know that when the players have no respect for or in the staff, there is no confidence in the scheme. Period.....

Charles Mann was way more dominant than Dexter Manley. You have this completely backwards. I think Albert will be fine and I've defended him this summer, but Charles Mann can say whatever he wants to whoever he wants whenever he wants. When I played football I always wore 71 because I wanted to be as cool as Charles Mann. Mann is the man.
