Asked if the Redskins are one of the honest teams, "No," he said with a laugh.
By Rick Maese | October 1, 2010; 4:27 PM ET
This is tricky. Is he being honest when he says that he's not honest? And if he's not being honest, then does that mean we are honest? My head's about to explode trying to figure this out.

When you say nobody cares but fantasy owners about the injury report, you are dead wrong.
Perhaps you've heard of gambling (legal and illegal). It's kind of a big deal for setting the lines.

I could see Andre Carter's head exploding from a similar scenario being explained.
If the guard pulls and the back stays home, you key the tight end. If the tight end blocks, you have outside contain. NOW, if the guard stays home and we have no stunt on, the back will probably swing out. If it's to your side, you go with him, unless the tight end tries to seal you...
BOOM!
Posted by: Thinker_ | October 1, 2010 7:21 PM | Report abuse
It's the same way Haynesworth's ankle exploded...
"So, if you have an open lane to the QB, hold your ground. If the back runs into either A gap, stay on your blocker and hold your ground, somebody else will make the tackle. If you're unblocked, it's a trap, so hold your ground. If there's a fumble in the backfield, hold your blocker so he can't cover it..."
BOOM!
"Ow. My ankle."

Thinker, periodically I'll see billboard ads for old bands appearing at nearby casinos, which I guess has become a circuit for that kind of act (well suited to the demographic of the casinos, I assume, and maybe a tiny bit more classy than the county fair circuit?).
And it always freaks me out that the dudes have not just aged, as you'd expect, but have made incredibly poor choices stylistically and in terms of the plastic surgery.
With all that said, there are some people out there who love love love the Doobie Brothers, and I've been meaning to listen to some of their catalog beyond the radio hits, which have never really appealed to me. So there's that.
Such as.

Not that hard to be a Doobie Brother. A friend of mine got to sit in on a drum kit with them during a show in front of 15k people. Heck, they even let Michael McDonald take the lead singer role.
Best Doobie song that few know ... 8th Avenue Shuffle.
They're from the Bay Area, not far from where I live. I've seen some of them around on occasion. Once saw 2 of them play for a live breakfast radio show -- 200 people in a bar at 6am. They also had the local Playboy centerfold at that show. All in all, well worth the admission price of free.

Question...
Remember how the NFL used to try to ignore that Fantasy Football existed. Once announcers were forbidden to mention it, now players tweet about their teams.

McNabb has his homecoming: Redskins v. Eagles October 3, 2010
Mike Vick has his homecoming: Eagles v. Falcons October 17, 2010
Question: Between Mike Vick and Donovan McNabb, which quarterback has the most challenging, emotional, potentially heartwrenching contest?
Answer: Donovan McNabb, obviously.
McNabb led the Eagles to a Super Bowl while keeping an obnoxious yet then talented T.O. at bay, lost the game, and never received the 'luv' from the fanbase.
Too, as his tenure in D.C. unwinds, there's Andy Reid's snarky claim--that trading him to a team within the division wouldn't be a threat to Philly--that will irritate to unspoken ends if Mighty Mike Shanahan fails to turn around the redskins.
Mike Vick will return to Atlanta to face his old team the falcons, and the stands will be littered in #7 black and red Vick jerseys and a glow of forgiveness and luv.
Donovan McNabb will enter Lincoln Field tomorrow, and from the stand will come a mix of jeers and cheers and batteries and flung beer.
But being the man he is, Donovan McNabb will play as hard as he can, fully knowing he's a brother who'll never get any real love from Philadelphia.

It's probably because the only thing you do is come up here and take your occassional pot shot at somebody, make some ridiculous comment and then melt back into your mothers basement. Get some game and them bring it to the table. You're a hack at best but more probably a shut in that can only interact with the world through your shots at people on a blog. Put the fork down, drop about 600 lbs., fit through your front door and say hi to the world. Trolls like you are why ITA lists are so long. So welcome to mine.

interesting, Forbes has a list of the billionaire owners of NFL teams and Snyder is on that list. I should note, Forbes does this stuff a bunch, but they really are only making educated guesses in a lot of cases.
What is interesting is that Snyder is worth $0.5 billion LESS than the team he owns is worth. He isn't the sole owner, so that accounts for some of it. But clearly, Danny's fortunes are tied very closely to the team. Perhaps more so than most any other owner. Which is why Shanahan's success is so critical to Danny.
Snyder's net worth: $1.1billion
Redskins net worth: $1.6billion

Much as I hate to get involved in pizzing contests between practicing morons, just wanted to point out that Pabrain may be "too stupid to insult" but the fact Diesel44 wrote "to stupid to insult" puts him in that category, too. Or as he might write "that category, two."
Yeah, I know typos shouldn't count. But they are fair game when they show the insulter is dumber than the insultee.

Great to hear from the resident poster child for senility. Another retard who's Mom shoulda let him run down her leg. The quintessential left wing d-bag that obviously has to live off of other people's paychecks. Glad you figured out how to revert to the old "typo" insult. That's par for the course for someone of your obvious intellect.

ITA is so retarded.
DNR is better.
"Do Not Respond!"
Trolls = Idiots

"Is Chad Simpson still with the team? If so, I see him becoming the #2 rb as soon as he picks up the scheme. Quicker than Keiland or Ryan IMO. Team desperately needs speed at all positions.Posted by: 1965skinsfan"
We probably shouldn't mistake a fast ST player for a #2 RB.

Problem is that is all we really have now. I gues Torrain maybe considered a RB but he has yet to prove it in this league.

How long did you proofread this cork? You know, lest you make the same silly, insignificant mistake diesel made. You know, like making up the word "insultee" when "insulted" would have worked much gooder.

In Corks defense he was too busy with his hand in everyone elses pocket and telling everyone else how they should live their lives to have time to proof read.

Trolls are gay.
Is anyone else aware we are playing Philadelphia tomorrow, with 1st place on the line?
What's up with all the hatred?
HTTR, RIP ST21, Vick Sucks, 11-5 is still my prediction and cheers to the Redskins winning tomorrow.
Just thought I would stop by for a little of my patented optimism!
Peace B!tches!

Hoping Vick has one of his patented bone head days where all he does is under and over throw every receiver on the field.

Me too, and I have a feeling McNabb is going to play out of his mind.
I smell a huge game for Cooley.

Is there a sloppier college team than the Let's Go Canes?

Trolls like you are why ITA lists are so long. So welcome to mine.
Posted by: scampbell1975 | October 2, 2010 12:12 PM
I've always wondered about this. It's a conundrum.
There's a bunch of A's up here that I'm I'ing (obviously not you, scamp, you ass hole). But I think that if I tell them I'm I'ing them, then that very act feeds them. If you're ignoring someone, you can't actually tell them you're ignoring them. But, they can't figure it out for themselves because they're so stupid which is why you ignore them in the first place.
What to do? Just post your ITA list? "To whom it may concern. I am ignoring the following ass holes:" I'd do that, but there are so many that I can't remember them all and I wouldn't want to offend someone by leaving him off the list.

Of note, Collingwood topped St Kilda in the Aussie Rules Championship game rematch, the first match having ended in a draw. Collingswood is an area in Melbourne, adjacent to the Fitzroy Garden Park, which features among other things, a uniquely carved tree.
St. Kilda is on Prince Philip (Phillip?) Bay, just a few km south and east of Melbourne. It features Luna Park with its grotesque entrance and has a good crafts market along the main street on weekends. Be careful where you park however, they do give out tickets and will track you down, even if you live 5,000 miles away.
Kost's Geelong team failed to make it to the finals this year.
