Campbell Says It's a Must-Win Game for Skins, Too

From Jason La Canfora:

Jason Campbell said he agrees with the Dallas Cowboys on one thing: The game Sunday is a "must-win" for his team, too.

"It's must-win for both teams," said Campbell, sounding like several Dallas players who said they need to win to stay in the playoff hunt. "Something's got to give."

Campbell said that if Clinton Portis does not play, it will make things "different" for the passing game, but that he has confidence in all the running backs.

"We'll all have to step up our game a little more," if Portis can't play, Campbell said.

If it's not a must-win, then it has to be a must-not-lose.

ESPN's Buster Olney reports that Leigh Torrance has just won the AL Cy Young Award.

Man, is there nothing Leigh Torrance can't do? Besides cover.

I'd call it a must win just for confidence, another big loss Sunday and we are in trouble

I'm surprised Zorn hasn't incorporated Sellers into the offense. He's much more than a punishing blocker & Teams stalwart.

Hmmm....disagree, t_e.

This is more of a don't-not-win.

On that previous thread, I think Mark from 90210 pwned RedDMV in the wisdom competition.

Must win. Agree to agree. Have to win. Really cannot lose at all. No not winning. Way win. Win their guts out. Up here. Maps.

And, it would be nice if you step it up even if Portis does play. Last three outings seem to have been step downs.

I'm not sure why people here would defend Arrington.

He's attacked the credibility of the organization, when he should have been firing his agent, he was a MAJOR, EXPENSIVE disappointment, and now he calls a man who led us to three rings and reinstilled some character into our football team, a coward.

Arrington should talk. He got up there at Taylor's funeral and went on about healing and all that, only to do a drive by via the media just a year later. Since he's such a man, he could always have told Gibbs he was a coward to his face when he was here....instead, he went for a bigger paycheck with another team he would greatly disappoint, and was gone.

So Lavar? F off. You did little to justify what pay you received, and if you want to throw rocks at a glass house, at least stick around and face the music.

....and that's all I have to say about that.

----

I think the Skins win this game. I just don't see the Cowboys have a good offensive day...cold, night, November game, on the grass...place they haven't played well the last few years...QB struggling with a hand injury...running game that always disappears against the Skins....

Unless the Skins give them a short field, the Cowboys don't post more than 14 in this one.

What's wrong with jasno? Why does he hate the 'Skins so much? Aren't there any players making positive quotes?

It's been at least 12.4 hours since someone weighed in about the beat writer, so I felt the need.

Shaunsherman12, I agree entirely with what you wrote. Entirely. I'm co-signing.

But I can't back this mixed metaphor. I say "if you want to throw rocks at a glass house then you should help to pick up the shards and not cry over spilled milk." Or, "If you want to stick around to face the music, then you ought to help pay the piper."

Shaun...As much as it pains me, let's play Devil's Advocate.

Skins haven't exactly set the world on fire. We have struggled to put up 17-20 points against teams like Clev and Stl. Their QB is coming off an injury...our RB IS injured. Regarding a place that THEY haven't played well...we aren't exactly steamrolling people at FedEx either...losing to STL, edging CLEV and getting waxed by Pitt.

I pray I am wrong about this!!! However, being honest...we have just as many questions as they do.

I never understood LaVar's position wrt the contract. As I remember -- he received the largest contract ever offered by the Skins. He said they negotiated two 6.5 million roster bonuses in the same year, but then signed a contract with only one. Clearly his agent was to blame for the misunderstanding and failure to fully review the contract -- as I highly doubt the team ever intended to include a 13 million dollar roster bonus. In addition, LaVar complained publicly through the press instead of through his agent. After clearing up the discrepancy and getting his agent barred for 2 years -- he was then hurt for a year and half, with a bruised knee, and given his release in return for 4 million bucks.

This is simply a distraction during Dallas week -- I guess LaVar is pissed that he was dropped from the Comcast show...

This would be quite the karmic payback.......the cowboys inducted Aikman, Irvin and Smif into their ring the night Santana caught the 2 late TD bombs from Brunell. Skins supposedly "ruined" the whole night for them. Not sure if it was pregame or halftime though, and I think it ruined the fans night more than the team. Doubt many of the players on the 05 cowboys actually played with the triplets......just about everyone on this team played with Sean Taylor, so hopefully it will really fire them up.

Cry, complain, whine, moan, gripe, b!tch...

The reason why you complain about the topics is the VERY same reason you continue to trot on here everyday and post comments to your hearts desire.

The same thing that'll make you laugh will make you cry. And Cry some more, more, more, and more...

My power rankings on this are a quite a bit different: B!tch, whine, gripe, complain, cry, moan ...

Cry is totally overrated. The media loves cry ... "America's Resentment Noise" my butt ... b!tch would crush cry head-to-head.

He's over on the scout dot com site....calls himself "fredsmootfan". He's satrted at least 2 threads going on about how JC sucks and Colt should be starting.
He get's the same treatment for his lunacy over there too.
