Counting Down to Browns-Skins
It's a fabulous, although cool and breezy, day here in DC for those of you in other regions. Barry Svrluga looked at Moss and the receiving game today. Interesting piece today on Jamal Lewis in the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Their scribes, all but Bud Shaw, are picking the Browns to win. What say you guys? One of you yesterday said that if the Redskins are legit, they'll win by two TDs. True?
As usual, we'll be twittering (I continue to refuse to say "tweet.") and you can get mobile text alerts by texting "REDSKINS" to WPOST (97678). Stay tuned for inactives.

Let's see how Jason Campbell field general's this game?
What goof ups will his offensive line perform under Campbell's leadership?

Someone just announced that they lost power at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
Or is it just a cost-saving measure?

Skippy Held Hostage...Day One.
I guess he used some words that were picked up by the WaPo Automaton--the one that finds dirty words but can't proof.

I just read that Winslow will play but not start, they say he is a secondary option. Are Springs and Smoot playing?
Posted by: Skins28 | October 19, 2008 1:01 PM | Report abuse
Did Winslow get the game balls from their win over the Giants?
Posted by: PDiddy | October 19, 2008 1:02 PM | Report abuse
They'll only bring Winslow in when they call a play that takes some real cajones.

Hahahaha. I'm all atwitter. Yes. Can't decide which of the early games to watch on my craptastic Toshiba. I'm going with the Gints for now. Looking at men of Cow on a distant TV. Nice run by Marion Barber. manning has reverted to form as the least of the fubball-playing bros.

Three helium balloons!
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — The electricity went out at Ralph Wilson Stadium about a half-hour before the Buffalo Bills’ home game against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday after three helium balloons became entagled in power lines across the street from the facility.
Power was restored throughout most of the stadium within 15 minutes, although it blinked on and off just before the 1 p.m. start time. The game started on time as power had been restored throughout the stadium.
Bills spokesman Scott Berchtold said he was aware of the problem but didn’t know whether the stadium was operating off generators.
Emergency officials and work crews blocked off part of the area in front of the stadium on Abbott Road as they worked to remove the balloons, which appeared to be affecting the electrical flow. A New York State Electric and Gas worker also said that a breaker blew and had to be restored.
The outage occurred at about 12:29 while both teams were practicing on the field. he stadium lights and scoreboard blinked off, as did the power in the press box. The main scoreboard was the last to power up, about 5 minutes before the start of the game.
