Daniels Not Looking Good/Who's Really To Blame?

Phillip wasn't even taking part in the stretching. Looks like he still can't put any weight on the sprained foot. Very rarely will any player on this team play in a game after missing practice all week. I'd have to imagine Demetric Evans starts at this point but we'll see what Coach Joe has to say about the situation after practice.

Anywho, was thinking about the beat the other day and, being a stat nerd, came up with this:

Which Postie beat writer schlub has the worst record of the game he's covered during JJG 2.0? (Regular season only):

La Cantreporta: 22-27 (the only one here for the whole enchilada) - .448 win %

Howard Bryant: 10-13 - .435

Len Shapiro: 3-4 - .429

Nunyo Demasio: 8-10 - .444

So there you have it folks, blame Lenny. The only guy of this bunch of to have covered JJG 1.0 is the fall guy. Direct all of your hate mail his way. No seriously, Len is the man, dean of NFL writers and one of the beat, most helpful people I ever met in this business. It's amazing cold calling personnel guys around the NFL, if you drop Lenny's name and say you used to work with him and he gave you the phone number, 9 times out of 10 they say how much they love Len, and proceded to help you out any way they can.

Actually, though, we're splitting hairs here. We all have essentially the same win %, which means if they go on a roll this year the new guy, Jason Reid, is going to get all the glory. Figures. Story of my life.

Randoms: In the last two weeks I have procured tickets to see The Wiggles, Milkshake and The Doodlebops (this will be a second venture into Doodle-dom for me and Chloe). That pretty much sums up where my life is at this point. I can't even remember the last "big-people music" show I went to. I am starting to get Chloe hooked on "Pet Sounds" at least, so we're making progress ... Best two-person karaoke tune of all-time: Iggy Pop - Some Weird Sin. Do a couple of car bombs, arm wrestle your buddy for who takes Iggy's part and who does the Bowie backing vocals, be sure to rip off your t-shirt at some point between verses (and no, I'm not being gender-specific here) and become a rock god. It's really that simple ... If you are in one of those survivor pools, I suggest taking whomever plays KC for the next 4-5 weeks at least. Loved Houston last week and, though Chicago is a decent enough team to maybe not waste using them now, I don't think you can go wrong with them, either ... Terry Francona is killing me softly with his moves, killing me softly with his moves, killing me softly. Strumming my pain with Okajima, leaving him in far too long/ Go get him after the walk, Tito, don't let him face that punk Damon/ Oh no, not Paps in the 8th now/At least you spared us Gagne/Killing me softly with his moves/ I hope it's not slipping away.
