Don't Drive Up Here (At Least Not Through Delaware)
Uggh, crazy long drive up here. Took 4-plus hours, leaving from my parent's house in Bmore. I can usually make that in 2 1/2. Delaware just killed everything. Crazy-long backups. But on the bright side I listened to WFAN (660) most of the way up and felt wamr and fuzzy all over listening to the good people of the NY Metropolitan area call in droves to rip the Yankees. Brilliant!
Anyway, players are stretching on the field and we've got a beautiful night here, will probably be in the low 70s by halftime. Those midwinter crosswinds that tear through this place are nowhere to be found, so the tandem of Shaun Suisham and Durant Brooks should have no excuses (Suisham booted five field goal against the Jets last year).
Former Skins director of pro personnel Louis Riddick is scheduled to be here in his new scouting capacity for the Eagles. Will be interesting to see if he and Vinny Cerrato share a pregame meal. Riddick's parting wasn't exactly pretty.
(Had a chance to say hi to Louis in the dining room here before the game. He says he is loving his new job. "Everything worked out excellent," Riddick said. "Excellent." After seven years with the Redskins I'd imagine the Eagles will have him keep a close eye on Washington and other NFL East foes. He should have a particular insight into the Skins after working in the front office and with Cerrato for so long.)

Saturday's (especially) and Sundays are traffic-crazy up and down the East Coast as the Northerners head South for (or back North from) their beach week in Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
We here on the Eastern Shore get more than our share and we are always happy to accept their money, but not their advice or attitude. We welcome them, as long as they keep moving through and don't start thinking about settling in.

Now, Lisa, this isn't your first week on the blog. The surprising thing was not the shot at Vinny, but that there was only one shot at Vinny.
Sign of mellowing? I think we're in for more Vinny shots. The Riddick sighting has stimulated Jasno's Vinny venom. Jasno has very weak impulse control.

You couldn't have put it much better, unless you'd flat out told them not to drive on the Eastern Shore if the have a license plate from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, or Pennsylvania. What a sight they are.
Those people are absolute trash with all their kayaks which they can't even handle bicycles flapping off the back of their trunks and the boxes and crap tied on the tops of their cars. They should all stay up on Long Island or Martha's Vineyard or the Poconos where people like them don't look so out of place.
