Doughty has high ankle sprain, Williams a broken toe

With one week to go in a season long since lost, not many injuries could seem to be of significance to the Redskins. But yet they are:

  • Safety Reed Doughty suffered a high ankle sprain after returning an interception in the second quarter, and the injury likely means he'll miss the season finale at San Diego. Still, the prognosis is relatively good, because replays showed a violent twisting of the ankle, and coaches initially thought he had a broken bone in his leg.
  • Guard Mike Williams fractured a toe, and he'll be out for the San Diego game. Head coach Jim Zorn said he has to decide - after he finds out which members of his offensive line still remain - what to do at Williams's right guard spot. He could go with reserve Will Montgomery, who came in for Williams Sunday night, or shuffle things further.
  • Linebacker Rocky McIntosh strained his back. His status for the San Diego game is unkown.

  • Quarterback Jason Campbell took somewhere between 10 and one million hits, and somehow stood up at the end of the game. His eye is still blackened from one of those hits he took last Monday night.

Even though I don't think the Girls will get to the Super Bowl, I will laugh my head off if Suisham gets a ring after being cut by us.

Can we start Todd Collins now?

People with any football knowledge knew at the end of the 2007 season that Campbell was a loser at QB. Him losing 4 games then with the same team seeing Collins, a guy who hadn't played in 10 YEARS, come in a WIN 4 proved Campbell does not have what it takes.. And what he doesn't have is a long list... He can't read defenses, can't read blitzes, can't throw deep, not accurate short, holds the ball to long, not good under pressure, not good at end of close games.. and has NO LEADERSHIP ABLILITY!!! And anyone who thinks adding a couple of OL will make Campbell good is NUTS!!! Zorn SHOULD have replaced Campbell 4 or 5 games ago just to see IF Collins could have made the Skins better.. other coaches put in backups and it worked.. Young for Ten. Gradkowski for Oak and Moore for Car.. but Zorn is a ZOMBIE!!! He can't make a change so he stuck with Campbell loss after loss.. Well it cost him his job.. GOOD!!! Just have to hope Bruce Allen is not blind so he will see Campbell has to GO with him...
And the post above me is correct.. can they FINALLY give Todd Collins a start..
