Eli Manning: I Can Cook Soup

Pardon the interruption ... washingtonpost.com sports editor Jon DeNunzio here, just making sure the Redskins Insider nation saw this interview that The Post's "Lean Plate Club" columnist, Sally Squires, did with Eli Manning yesterday. Manning was in D.C. promoting the Presidents' Fitness Challenge, and while this is not your standard NFL player interview, I think there's some good stuff from the Super Bowl MVP in there. Included is his description of his limited cooking abilities ...

I know Manning and the Giants are not exactly popular among Redskins fans, but please don't treat this post like, say, fans of a certain other local team might when a somewhat-football-related video ends up on their blog ... I'm sure you understand.

Also, Sally got him to talk a little football:
- Eli on winning the Super Bowl
- Eli on the David Tyree catch

Enjoy.
