Skins Trail 7-3 after One
Well, it certainly feels like the Rams game:
Inability to finish a drive (pretty horrid sequence of three plays on reaching the Lions' goal line);
Turnovers - Pass pro is looking rough and Stephon Heyer is getting exposed some. Campbell was pummeled on that sack and fumble;
Bad penalties - Leigh Torrence's third-down defensive holding penalty (how can you hold and still have the WR wide open?? If you're gonna hold, then hold properly, for goodness sake) kept the Lions scoring drive alive.
Hence a 7-3 deficit. They need to clean it up here and get in the end zone this quarter.

OMG...Zorn, our offense isn't good enough to be creative. Give the ball to #26 and stop thinking so hard.
This is ridiculous. At some point these aren't trap games anymore.

I'm with JM220 on this one-- way too early to start loading the shotgun. Only down by a touchdown, some early mistakes hurt, but plenty of time to turn it around. Keep cool, my babies.
Also, I'm listening on the radio-- what happened with Zorn and Portis?

I'm not "Down" on the team, but we need to take care of business today... we need to put the Lions away early and deep in order to get ready for the Steelers next week. Good teams don't let 0-6 teams hang with them long in a game, and don't frigging let them take a 10-3 lead.
Zorn needs to get agressive for a little while, let the WR and Cooley go, and then start force feeding Portis down their throat. And yeah, it's not a good sign that Zorn is in Portis's face earlier.

Let's start passing on first down.
Posted by: ga8085 | October 26, 2008 1:56 PM | Report abuse
It's not about being down on the team. It's about facing an opponent who is in the bottom 3 in both rushing and passing DEF.
Even a mediocre team offense should be having a field day.
We play down to our opponents. We've been doing it all season.
So yah, I'm annoyed.

that's two key penalties on Jansen...sit him.
Posted by: Schroeder12 | October 26, 2008 2:05 PM | Report abuse
Why! This is crazy how this team plays to it competition.
Posted by: TWISI | October 26, 2008 2:05 PM | Report abuse
Cinton Portis mouthed off to Zorn about the fact that he was being taken out for a play for Alexander. So Zorn retaliated and gave Portis a piece of his mind.
Posted by: Thundershock | October 26, 2008 2:06 PM | Report abuse
looks like we have to root for Tampa, Pittsburgh and Atlanta today....
Posted by: Schroeder12 | October 26, 2008 2:06 PM | Report abuse
You can't sit Jansen. There's no one else to play tackle!!
Posted by: Thundershock | October 26, 2008 2:06 PM | Report abuse
Then I suggest they find someone....the team is more important than the individual....
Posted by: Schroeder12 | October 26, 2008 2:08 PM | Report abuse
Actually Portis was running good and Alexandar came in.. But was in there WAYY too long in my opinion. To run good you have to get in a groove..
