Fletcher Is Seeing Red (Zone)

From Jason La Canfora:

Middle LB London Fletcher said there are no secrets about where the defense needs to improve after the bye week.

"I think it's pretty obvious where we need to make our gains," Fletcher said. "We need to create more turnovers and we need to improve in the red zone.

"Our red zone defense is terrible right now. We're atrocious. We've got to make them settle for field goals at worst, and at best get a takeaway. We're giving up too many touchdowns in the red zone."

Fletcher said the coaches have the Redskins well-prepared for what to expect in the red zone and are making smart calls, but "we're not executing them," he said.

Also, Fred Smoot, LaRon Landry and a few others are bracing for fines from the league for wearing the wrong socks with their uniforms last night.

I've been waiting for this game to occur all season and it finally happened. At least they got it out of their system and have a week to rest up and get prepared for Romo & Co.

No article about Leftwich? DC hometown kid comes out of the bullpen to paste his hometown team he grew up idolizing?

I'd like to profess my love for red on red uni's. I hope they don't abandon it because they lost. The red jersey/white pants combo should be outlawed and never spoken of again.

That game really sucked but if we had to lose, at least it was a non conference game. And now we have a bye week to stew about it and get healthy for the girls' visit.

I know this is obvious...but...just sitting here thinking about the ramifications of beating Dallas in 2 weeks.

That would just about...just about....put them on life support and give us the season sweep tie-breaker. It would help our division tie-breaker and other NFC tiebreakers.

Plus, it would put them in total misery ... LOVE IT !!!

The NFL regulates sock colors, and then fines players for a perceived fashion faux pas? Seriously?
