Yesterday's session was closed to the Media; except for the the State Runed Communist Media also known as, 'Redskin Nation'.
All they did was show players practice on the field all episode with a sprinkle of players being interviewed by the media. I watched maybe half of it last night then turned it off because I felt stupid watching practice. (PRACTICE?! I AM TALKING ABOUT PRACTICE. PRACTICE?!?)

Jack complained about the vulgarity on RI saying that his kids read RI and were offended. Hence, SJK.
Posted by: talent_evaluator | June 4, 2009 11:08 AM
Thanks, T_E. I hate when people b*tch about their kids hearing cursing. Unless the kid is going to live in a soundproof bubble all his life, he's going to hear it. Trying to block every curse word from your kid's earshot is like a goalie trying to block shots on goal from all 70,000 fans...even the best goalie is going to let a good number of those through.

Whoa Alex...I just read that post of yours about David Carradine. Wow. RIP to one of the slowest Kung Fu fighters I've ever seen...

Now, Landry needs to ger his a$$ there! He needs to have a breakout year. He has too much ability to be mediocre like he was last year.

If you raise a glass to him after work, make sure it's a grasshopper.....

At least if he would have jumped off a bridge, you could throw a good "grasshopper" comment in there.
When you hang yourself, there is no wiggle room...
get it?

“I asked Smith who, after one previous set of organized team activities and a mini-camp, stands out to him offensively.”--RI
Not to throw cold water on this ongoing sea of optimism that RI has become, but conspicuous by it’s absence in Coach Smith’s response in the last thread: Any offensive linemen.

I still have Denver in six, and them winning game two decisively.

Ernest Byner was run out of Cleavland for one fumble, came here and continued his career as a very good RB. Betts is a good back. Don't make the same mistake by kicking him to the curb now. I don't want to see him playing well for sombody else this season, because if we get rid of him that's surely hat he'll be doing.

Apples and oranges. Byner was a superb lead back whose years of excellent play to that point was stupidly defined by The Fumble. Betts is a guy who had ONE good year out of seven after being selected in the 2nd round.
Like any good Redskins fan (we’ll pause for scoffing), I hope Betts has ANOTHER terrific year this year. Heaven knows the ‘skins need one from him. But, as everyone from Jim brown to Adrian Peterson has learned, great backs aint’ so great when their Oline doesn’t perform.

Byner is to Cleveland as Buckner is to Boston.

It would be nice to have a RB controversy.
I think Portis would respond well to the pressure of Betts nipping at his heels. Anyone else think this could be Portis' last year to prove something to the FO?

Dude, If the front office was any further up Portis' a$$, he would choke on them.

Shouldn’t Betts be feeling the pressure to step up because of the Canadian talent that they brought in….you know, they guy or two that we gave heard nothing about since they signed them? Seriously, has anyone heard or seen anything on these new speed guys?

I know they love Portis but I have to believe that Snyder likes money more. If they can get the same production from Betts at half the price then why not.
Im not saying, Im just sayin

Cork, to be fair Betts isn't a 2nd rounder that didn't pan out. He's a guy that got replaced by a "name" guy when Portis b*tched his way out of Denver. I still believe that if Gibbs had come in here and played a season with what he had on offense, this team would have been better off. I think you would have seen Betts have more seasons like the one in 2006 after Portis got hurt and the team would have one less mammoth salary on its books right now.

I'll go back to what I said last year. Portis starts 12 games, Betts starts 4. I think we'd get more production. A fresh Betts is a better than a beaten down Portis. And while Portis can play 16 games, he definitely gets beaten down

Carradine should be remembered best for his epic Bruce Lee project "Circle of Iron" - that is one of the greatest films EVER.
"Buddha was sat before a wall and was enlightened."
"Do you compare yourself to Buddha?"
"No, only the wall"

Just read the story on David Carridine, man that's messed up. Guy has a job, in Bangkok to shoot a movie and still hangs himself? I guess what would appear to be a great situation for him to be in, the guy was still in pain enough to do that.
Back in the Bruce Lee heyday I watched "Kung Fu" as a kid and loved the show. What a shame, God Bless his Soul.RIP
