Wouldn't be surprised if we won this one. Or lost it. Or tied it. My money is on Sunday.

I'm not watching this.

I'm holding out hope that the 'skins can take it one game at a time and put together a streak of four wins, a winning season, and a playoff birth because:
1) it's still possible; and
2) the draft isn't until April. So there is plenty of time to "less filling/taste great" the debate over building through the draft or free angency, qb with first pick or trade down for interior line men or draft a nose tackle, etc.
That debate can start when the 'skins are mathematically eliminated.
Now, having said that, Shanahan is 5-9 in his last three Decembers as head coach. [2008 1-3 including loosing the last three in a row, 2-3 in 2007 and 2-3 in 2006 his last winning season.] He did however go 4-1 in 2005, winning the last four, when his team led by Jake the snake went 13-3 and lost the AFC championship to the Steelers.
So there is precedent for anyone wanting sips for one more week from the punch bowl.

--Sean Gilbert
--Albert Haynesworth
--Dana Stubblefield
--Bruce Smith

The 2 MAJOR disappointments are Haynesworth, who gets my vote, and Stubblefield.
Smith was at the end of his career, but still got 29 sacks in 4 years, and Gilbert sucked majorly, but at least the Rams were dumb enough to give us 2 1st round picks for him, that's the only reason he's not #1.

Still don't understand why people are calling Bruce Smith a "failure", bust, or whatever... dude was one of the more productive free agents signed during the Snyder-era.

Exactly...I don't know if it's revisionist history or what, but I'd love to hear why anyone would think he was such a failure. I know he was chasing that sack record when he was here and left a little to be desired against the run, but last time I checked getting sacks was a GOOD thing...

STAMPED....And Sean Gilbert netted us 2 1st round draft picks after one productive season and sitting out a season....

Shanny is a lying cheating prick who didn't want haynesworth from day 1 and has worked hard to devalue him, at the expense of the team and the fans. Guess what, bub? Players are employees and they have rights! Sorry, haters.

Orakpo might actually have a good day against the Bucs O-line. They're banged up.
Turnovers are always a wild card.
If the Skins can't stop the Bucs running game, though, I predict this will be the same game we saw last week--over by halftime.

Imagine if Rex was a competent backup QB--there might have actually been a QB controversy this year...
As it is, no matter how bad McNabb is playing, we know Sexy Rexy can F it up a lot worse!
