Frank Black = More Punk Rock Than You And Me

I'll admit that I'm coming up lame on Redskins stuff right now. Spent the night in B-more and saw Frank Black at Sonar, and I'm scrambling to get to work. Unbelievable show. Probably 250 people there, and he tore it up with the same force as when the Pixies played to two nights of packed houses at DAR a few years back. Opened with maybe 20 minutes of acoustic stuff, mostly Pixies tunes, then rocked it out big time the last hour plus. Played a lot of new stuff off his latest solo CD. I kept begging for more stuff off Black Letter Days - one his solo albums from a few years back - but the man was on mission.

He's playing the 9:30 club this weekend and if I wasn't going to be in Indy, I guarantee I would be there. You should definitely check him out. Have the first ever meeting of the bloggy peoples there without me. You won't regret it.

Okay, I'm heading to the Park now (open locker room is not until 2 pm today), and I'll come up with something football related for the blog this afternoon.
I was going to check out with Gardner, Rod, Taylor Jacobs, Ryan Clark and the rest of our midweek regulars did in Week 6, and figure you all will beat me to the punch by the time I get back on-line later, but if not I'll post it then.
