Whoa!!

Posted by: WRBD | November 29, 2009 2:43 PM | Report abuse

Should the Redskins bring Campbell back in the second half?

1. Yes
2. No
3. Maybe. How much will he pay to come back?
4. Maybe. What position will he play?

Posted by: League-Source | November 29, 2009 2:43 PM | Report abuse

The Redskins say that Jeremy Jarmon will not return in the second half.

Posted by: CindyBoren | November 29, 2009 2:48 PM | Report abuse

I don't know what to expect from JC. When the O-line was healthy for the first half of last year, he played great. He has sparks of greatness sometimes, but then he makes COLOSSAL errors. I feel that the time Jason has been on this team has been an unclear assessment. If we're going to completely revamp the team during the off-season, then it's probably worth it to get rid of him.

B2O2,

do you also want the Seminoles name changed and the Vikings, and the Celtics? I could go on and on........

FRED "SECOND EFFORT" DAVIS BABY!

Posted by: MyPostIDisAfake | November 29, 2009 2:53 PM | Report abuse

I am losing faith in Campbell, he has constantly shown a slow reaction to getting the ball to the open receiver. He holds the ball just long enough to overthrow or underthrow receivers.

It's not that we think JC is great or anything, it's just that he's the best option. Who else can we get that's a better option?

Posted by: PAskinsfan17 | November 29, 2009 2:54 PM | Report abuse

i guess it's oxymoronic to say that this game will have to be won on Jason Campbell's arm, due to eagles making our run game ineffective.

Posted by: kman2 | November 29, 2009 2:54 PM | Report abuse

MyPostIDisAfake, I know you love Soup and want him to succeed, as you mentioned earlier. But the facts point to the other guy starting for now, not 10 years from now. I wish Soup was a winner and hope he proves me wrong. However, in 8 years (Auburn included) he has not been able to consistently read a D which is the most important part of QBing. Backing Campbell is like saying "I like to watch my team lose (5-13 in last 18) and I care more about the cult of Campbell than the team winning. Is he your FF QB or something?

they need to solidify the offensive line before they get a new QB. If not, they'll continue w/ the offensive struggles. I agree w/ what many have said; "fix the offensive line & you fix a lot of the issues."

the eagle know that the skins will not pass the ball more than 5 yards on a 3rd and 15 so they will look for a 2-3 yard pass and a quick tackle

Over the last 5 years Jason has shown us he can't win. Other teams have won with bad offensive lines and mediocre recievers (ie the steelers). You make what you've got work for you and he hasn't. We don't have the team for a game manager who makes poor decisions under center. He's got talent and a great arm but can't see the field. Regardless I don't think he wants to be here anymore and I wouldn't either with the way the team is run.

You're up your own azz, fool. The "dictionary" doesn't get to decide what is pejorative. People decide for themselves.

I have an Irish surname (O'Source) and I am offended every time I hear the pejorative expression "Fighting Irish." I think we proud sons of the Emerald Isle should be know for our good traits, not for fighting.

Besides the dictionary is owned by the English who have never respected us. They think Fighting Irish is a compliment.

Problem is that we refuse to address our depth issues and this will happen year after year until we do. We don't have quality depth so we have to rely on undrafted guys to step in midseason to play. They need time to gel. This division is not nice. You have to accept that 5-6 starters are going down for the year and be prepared for it. This means less superstars and more average Joes. That does not compute to Snyderrato.

did anyone hear that cheer in the district when Tryon picked that off? no, it wasn't redskins fans....it was the abundance of Cowpukes fans that just effectively took a division-championship 2-game lead with 5 left. DAMNIT.

Do we ever go for the knockout? Geez I am tired of us acting like we're 8-2 and need to play it safe so we can pad our division lead....we're freaking 3-7 Zorn!!!! F!!!!!

The only way Campbell comes back if is Zorn remains the head coach. A new coach wouldn't want to build around Campbell.

I hope Jason can go somewhere with an offensive line Danny will keep Vinny and Vinny thinks this offensive line can take them to the playoffs. This team is a disgrace. There is no way to evaluate Zorn or Campbell when the offensive line stinks. Thanks Vinny. Nice season.

The question shouldn't be bringing back Campbell or not. It should be what can be done to create a working offensive line.

if I was Campbell I would tell danny and vinny to kiss my black ___ f___ y'all, for six years I've been beat up, jump on, sacked, pressured and then you had the nerve to go after jay cutler last summer, please, what kind of fool to you think I am

Jason,

No other QB in NFL has had to learn a many offenses in as short a time and it's debatable if any plays behind a more porous line.

I sure would love to see what JC could do if he wasn't being hit as he throws half of the time.

Oh, and I'd much rather have Betts than Portis, but Betts will probably go elsewhere and be a major contributor to a winning team and maybe even get a ring like Pierce and Clark.
