lol tomorrow's conference after a 41-10 loss will be "well, we had a GREAT drive opening the second half"..."we just need to find a way to hold our opponents within 10 points, and we'd be 8-0 now."

Posted by: kman2 | November 8, 2009 2:57 PM | Report abuse

So what is this touchdown thing? It look like we crossed the goal line and they added 7 points to our score. This is a strange and frightening new concept and quite frankly, I'm scared.

Posted by: PAskinsfan17 | November 8, 2009 2:58 PM | Report abuse

so when he has perfect protection and a strong running game he's great, however if the above doesn't happen, he's less than average..got it..check..

This is on the money. Only blind people would keep insisting JC is better than "less than average", as Bean put it earlier. And that's not hate, that's just accurate evaluation. JC has about 5 different problems as a QB, and yes they aren't apparent when all else around him is perfect - but that's not the kind of QB we need. It's time to get a new one, and this conversation should have been over long ago.

Now the defense has to get a stop. After that, the punt returner can't muff or fumble the punt. Shouldn't be too hard.

Posted by: TWISI | November 8, 2009 2:58 PM | Report abuse

Answers:
1) No, the first half against TB was. ATL is a playoff team.
2) Albert... he warned everyone that it was going to get bad. He clearly means to prove it.
3) Execution isn't a problem per se, it's just that they won't allow us to do it to them.

I think we can all agree that if we score more than 17 it's a moral win even if final score is 63-20. . . dare we dream over 20? Dare we dream maybe 3 whole touchdowns?

Hey look DHall took some lessons from ARE and ran backwards.

Posted by: rachel216 | November 8, 2009 3:04 PM | Report abuse

Posted by: lifelongfan | November 8, 2009 3:04 PM | Report abuse

OK next play, bomb to Marko!

TD, then it's 24-17

Mmmm, Kool-Aid is good!

Posted by: noonefromtampa | November 8, 2009 3:04 PM | Report abuse

LL is a better SS. He's more comfortable there.

Posted by: TWISI | November 8, 2009 3:04 PM | Report abuse

So the Redskins will score a TD here and make it 24 - 17. We will all let ourselves get a tiny little ounce of "could they?" back into our systems. But, the Falcons will then score 17 unanswered points and it'll be game over.

Posted by: -swb | November 8, 2009 3:04 PM | Report abuse

An unnamed league sources cousins little brother, who spoke on condition of anonymity, claims that Zorn was calling plays in the first half again, thus the terrible output.

With Sherman Lewis back calling plays for the second half, look for the offense not to be quite as terrible.

Is it me, or does Betts look 10x better than Portis thus far this year?

Zorn and his damn waffling. It is frustrating. Call the play and run it.

Zorn ran the same play he ran against Tampa on 4th down. He has no imagination. Instead of Moss he used Sellers.

That was a terrible play call that Jim Zorn just made.

He just too darn stubborn to believe that he doesn't have it as a play caller.

Leave to the Shermans. My God.

Jim Zorn called that lame duck play what an idiot he just doesn't get it. I can't wait until he gets fired Sherman Lewis is by far a better play caller then he will ever be.

I would like to know why Zorn feels the need to call plays.

Everyone else involved in football understands why we are struggling: we did not fix last year's problems with the O-line. Why didn't Snyder and Cerrato figure this out and/or actually do something about it?
