It really makes no sense. It hasn't worked all year.

we NEVER convert a 4th down when we pitch or sweep right/left. It's almost scripted that we run a sweep on 4th and we always get blown up.

I don't think it was a sweep. Looks like they were trying to go off tackle. Denver got good penetration and Rock tried to bounce outside. Good play by Denver's defense.

ARE should never be back as PR. He just cost them about 20yds. Way to kill momentum after a good stand by the defense.

sweep, off tackle, all the same concept in that the RB has to run MANY MORE YARDS to achieve a first down than he would have to if he ran up the gut. we have yokozuna as the fullback, lets at least TRY to pound it down the middle.
