Griffin heads Redskins' inactive list
For the Redskins, Stephon Heyer, Albert Haynesworth, DeAngelo Hall, Graham Gano and Mike Sellers all are expected to play tonight.
The biggest surprise among the inactives is defensive tackle Cornelius Griffin, who has been bothered by a shoulder injury; expect to see Kedric Golston in his place. Other inactives are: quarterback Richard Bartel, cornerback Kevin Barnes, offensive lineman Edwin Williams, linebacker Alvin Bowen, linebacker Curtis Gatewood, offensive lineman Paul Fanaika, and wide receiver Marko Mitchell.
The Giants' inactive players are: wide receiver Ramses Barden, cornerback Corey Webster, running back D.J. Ware, cornerback Aaron Ross, tackle Adam Koets, tackle Kareem McKenzie, wide receiver Sinorice Moss and tight end Darcy Johnson

So, a minor issue I have with JC... when told that Webster and Ross are out, is he still worried about the d-line, or licking his chops planning for a 500+ yard night?

With all of the G-men's secondary out, expect our favorite Bingo caller to go deep early and often.
Also, what is up with Barnes? Did Westbrook jump him on the depth chart?

I live in California, so I can only see the national (i.e. ESPN) coverage of the game. Bleh-
But Schaefter is reporting Campbell is coming back. Also, Shanahan's son won't be coming back to Houston and, looks like, coming to us.
HAHAHA: Cris Carter is now extolling JC17. These people don't know crap about the 'Skins. Carter said a month ago that JC17 was not an NFL quarterback.

Sherm Smith is a key component to the success the skins have been experiencing on offense, more so than Zorn. If Zorn stays, then the whole structure needs to be the same.
Bruce Allen really made it seem that the next two games in particular will go a long way in which direction he wants to go with Campbell and with Zorn. It will be to Zorn's best interest to allow the players to play freely, and for him not to be too conservative and play to win.

I like Smith. You are right, things might be clicking.
But if Zorn is tutoring JC17 and serves as a good figure-head, and we keep clicking...keep him.
I MEAN GUYS, WE ARE WATCHING A TEAM THAT SCORED 30 POINTS TWO WEEKS IN A ROW. With our defense and any semblance of a real offense--which we seem to have--no need to blow stuff up. (Still need OL and speed RB and a real FS)

Certainly.
But when you're paying a guy the money they are wasting on ARE, I guess they figure he's a better option than a younger, cheaper, faster, and larger player.
And such thinking is why we're not sniffing the playoffs.

Marko Mitchell earns his chance to start every week.
So far, he's been a consistent "spectator".
I'd like to "see him more", but only as he earns it in practice.
I don't see a lot of drama in these last three weeks. Zorn is an ex-coach walking, I haven't heard the name of JC's replacement, and the rest of these guys are "playing for their jobs". Final score is irrelevant, just need to see some competent plays on offense and a little tighter defense. The only D position I'm really sweating at this point is CB, I guess we've given up on him as an interception machine, and now need to figure out if he's tender-able.
