Skins Lead by 3 at the Half

Jason Fabini cost the Redskins a chance at another field goal by wiffing on that inside move from Darren Howard on the sack. That was big.

Can't quite understand why Jim Zorn called for the field goal attempt from 55 yards out in this wind, and the Eagles knew it would be short. Quintin Demps's return was their biggest play of the half.

From a Skins standpoint, it's more of the same in terms of controlling yardage and not scoring.

The defense has tended to wilt in the fourth quarter lately, and the Redskins can't afford to have that happen again. At this point, it doesn't look like the Skins are going to be padding this lead much.

Time for Andy Reid to make some adjustments.

please give playoff scenario if Skins win and Atl loses.

Only thing Andy Reid needs to adjust is that jacket. Looks like it is clinging on to his fat ass for dear life.

Are both teams inept or good defense? And why isn't there a statue of Joe Gibbs outside the stadium? WTF? And why does Nancy Grace exist?

Campbell's QB rating was 85.7 entering the game. In the last two minutes of either half, his rating is 71.6 in 2008.

D has been on the field a lot less than the last couple weeks. They should still be fresh come 4Q.

the iggles got 55 total yards first half?

am i reading that right?

There is no playoff scenario. ATL is winning 17-7 last I checked out. An ATL win eliminates WAS.

Yep. Cincinnati was tougher on us.

Camp went over 3000 yards this game, which is a career high.

Moss needs 23 to go over 1000, and Portis needs 27 to go over 1400....some personal goals within reach..

Those STL and Cincy losses are pissing me off even more right now. Outright terrible.

We're not getting our 2nd round pick back, so if we can sign him for a decent price, may as well.

Any bets on Portis scoring a TD?

Posted by: slats999 | December 21, 2008 6:02 PM | Report abuse

Cooooooooley. We got to get 7 here.

Posted by: JasonLaTempleton | December 21, 2008 6:02 PM | Report abuse

gotta punch this in here...need 7 not 3...

Posted by: BeantownGreg | December 21, 2008 6:02 PM | Report abuse

What if Taylor really was injured this year??? WHat if he can be good next year?? Do we try and re-sign him?? I doubt he would want $8mil again.. if we can get him for around $5 i say its a good risk.

Posted by: cocodc1 | December 21, 2008 6:02 PM | Report abuse

Well, what do you know.

Posted by: slats999 | December 21, 2008 6:03 PM | Report abuse

CP Mother F's... Eat a D, Philly!!!

Posted by: skins1110 | December 21, 2008 6:03 PM | Report abuse

Only $4mil per sack now for Jason Taylor. Nice forced fumble though. Where has that been all year?!?!

Posted by: saqster | December 21, 2008 6:03 PM | Report abuse

TD PORTIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: BeantownGreg | December 21, 2008 6:03 PM | Report abuse

TD

Portis.

That's the way I like it.

to clear something up, Taylor is under contract next year for 8 mill. he's ours is we want to keep him, or we can dump him, and pick up 8 million in cap space...

No.

Posted by: slats999 | December 21, 2008 6:05 PM | Report abuse

Too bad that this win, should the Redskins hold on, will be for nothing.

Posted by: jiacinto | December 21, 2008 6:05 PM | Report abuse

Give it to Portis on the goal line? What a novel idea. Only a week too late, I'm afraid.

They look good because Philly is sucking so bad. What is up with Philly?

Posted by: slats999 | December 21, 2008 6:06 PM | Report abuse

Theres nothing wrong with a W to knock out the eagles

Posted by: skins1110 | December 21, 2008 6:07 PM | Report abuse

Skip Bayless was right: The Vikes should have stayed with Gus at QB this week.

Posted by: MrRedskin21 | December 21, 2008 6:07 PM | Report abuse

Taylor has to go. Jansen and Randle El can go as well. 1 Big time, free agent WR and 3 draft picks spent on linemen was all we needed last year.

Posted by: saqster | December 21, 2008 6:07 PM | Report abuse

This will never happen but if Taylor knows he isn't worth the 8M and wants to come back next year he should agree to a new 1 year deal. He owes it to us in my mind.

Posted by: JasonLaTempleton | December 21, 2008 6:07 PM | Report abuse

we may finally be seeing what a healthy jason taylor can do for us. we already have him signed for next year, correct?

Posted by: RedskinWillie | December 21, 2008 6:09 PM | Report abuse

Looks like LaRon Landry popped DeSean Jackson's ribs a good one on that hit earlier.

Posted by: chrislarry | December 21, 2008 6:09 PM | Report abuse

Kind of mixed feelings here...with Minn completely self-destructing, doesn't it make you cringe at the thought of a potential Skins W only helping out those jerk-offs in dallas? Blaaaaaaaaahhhhhh.

Posted by: SoCal_SkinsFan | December 21, 2008 6:18 PM | Report abuse

If we can't go to the playoffs, then neither can those bastards in Dallas. Philly needs to beat them next week.

I'm hoping the nitwit understands the importance of drafting offensive linemen when your starting five are all over 31 years old.

Bernard Berrian was big time enough for me. He killed the skins last year and has been a play maker all year for Minnesota with even worse QB play than the Skins.
