This performance is P-A-T-H-E-T-I-C.

The lowest point had to be either the DET or KC loss.

The act or an instance of embarrassing.
The state of being embarrassed.
A source or cause of being embarrassed.

I still wanna know who's calling plays...

Posted by: RomoLongballs | December 21, 2009 10:02 PM | Report abuse

Why, I believe I have my answer. Zorn is leaving a big ole thumbprint all over this game. The difference from the last 5 games to this one is striking, and we've seen this sh!t before.

Posted by: RomoLongballs | December 21, 2009 10:09 PM | Report abuse

first to say:

Bahahahahahahahahaahahahahaahahah. Oh. My. God. What. The. Hell?

Posted by: brianearman | December 21, 2009 10:09 PM | Report abuse

I hope every skins fan in the stadium just walks out at halftime

Hey, look at poll question # 1--we're finally all agreed on something.

Posted by: boothintexas | December 21, 2009 10:09 PM | Report abuse

Skins have really made themselves a laughing stock on national TV. This has to be a low point, although who knows what will happen next week? Every time you think you've hit bottom, Zorn surprises you.

Posted by: League-Source | December 21, 2009 10:09 PM | Report abuse

WOW!! I don't think I've ever been this embarrassed.

Posted by: Rusty6392 | December 21, 2009 10:10 PM | Report abuse

So....why did we run the fake FG after we had telegraphed it?

That was so bad it was actually funny.

Wow.

Posted by: edvar | December 21, 2009 10:10 PM | Report abuse

well losing to a bunch of winless teams was pretty embarassing but as in an embarassing half? Nope, this takes it.

Posted by: svxcountry1 | December 21, 2009 10:10 PM | Report abuse

this is approaching spurrier territory. . .

can't find the right words to say what I'm thinking about vinny without having to go into SJK-land. . .

wow this really, really stinks. . .

Posted by: skinsfan8KaboveMSL | December 21, 2009 10:10 PM | Report abuse

I wouldnt say the lowest point because I have given up... When the season meant something i felt ALOT lower... Actually on the Fake FG. i actually LMAO!!!!!!! If you dont laugh, then u cry....

Posted by: cocodc1 | December 21, 2009 10:10 PM | Report abuse

Cindy, If you keep up with the polls, I'm going to send you holiday cookies with coconut topping, only I'm going to secretly replace the coconut with sawdust.

On the good side, I'll choose pine sawdust, so the cookies will smell christmassy!

Posted by: daggar | December 21, 2009 10:11 PM | Report abuse

Yep.

That offense is really "coming along."

...EMBARRASSING

Posted by: MrRedskin21 | December 21, 2009 10:11 PM | Report abuse

I know this is wishful thinking but doesn't a made FG mean 21 points down which is 3 TDs?! Now we're still down essentially 4 possessions as opposed to 3. Common sense.

Posted by: svxcountry1 | December 21, 2009 10:11 PM | Report abuse

can anyone remember a more embarassing performance?

Posted by: skinsfan8KaboveMSL | December 21, 2009 10:08 PM

Posted by: sdalev | December 21, 2009 10:12 PM | Report abuse

Posted by: RomoLongballs | December 21, 2009 10:12 PM | Report abuse

the words "Washington Redskins" shall now an forever be amoung some of the words that describes embarrassment. F Snyder

Posted by: ThrowItToMyTeam | December 21, 2009 10:12 PM | Report abuse

I wish i was in the lower bowl right belwo Snyder's box so i could yell at the beginning of the 3rd quarter "Danny you F I N G P U Z Z Y why is zorn still standing on your sideline?"

Posted by: SkinsfaninKaneohe | December 21, 2009 10:12 PM | Report abuse

Zorn is making it very easy for B. Allen.

Posted by: shanteefamilee | December 21, 2009 10:12 PM | Report abuse

Posted by: LeeM9308 | December 21, 2009 10:12 PM | Report abuse

Lowest point was probably the somewhere in the Lions/KC/Panthers range.

This is just typically inconsistent crap play from the Skins - who the F cancels practice before MNF? Find a gymnasium D-heads.

Posted by: noonefromtampa | December 21, 2009 10:14 PM | Report abuse

Would anyone still like Jim Zorn to be the coach??

You take 3 pts there at the end of the half... your getting the ball to start the 2nd half... you get 10 pts, your right back in the game & your team has momentum... horrible horrible horrible decision after they faced the same situation in the first game against the Gints. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

At least this ends the debate as to whether Zorn should be given another year. I would consider firing him now but based on the performance of the entire team I don't think any of the coaches are capable of finishing the season. Might as well let Zorn suffer with the rest of us. However, the day after the season ends they should probably fire the entire coaching staff.

Posted by: lifelongfan | December 21, 2009 10:14 PM | Report abuse

They deserve ALL the boos they're getting. This is an absolute embarrassment. Jim Zorn has just made sure he is not coming back next year. WHAT in the world was that play? We are worse than a high school football team. I am SO EMBARRASED to be a Redskins fan. From the putrid showing to the coaches' stupid decisions. It's embarrassing to have half the stadium booing and half the stadium filled with the opposing team's fans. I'm starting to think this organization is more dysfunctional than the Raiders. Us fans deserve sooo much better than this CRAP.

I hate the offensive line!!!! And we SUCK on Monday Night Football. We can't even make it competitive!!! But seriously, what is Zorn thinking with that last play? You try to take the 3 points!!!! He is a horrible coach and I hope he gets fired after this game.

Posted by: rachel216 | December 21, 2009 10:14 PM | Report abuse

And in the ultimate irony, somewhere not too far from FedEx Field, with his driveway still snowed in, Vinny Cerrato is sipping a fine drink and laughing his a$$ off.

Posted by: BrooklynSkins | December 21, 2009 10:15 PM | Report abuse

Landry is the biggest bum on the entire team. Always going in to light someone up and missing 90% of the time.

What a freaking craphead.

Posted by: learnedhand1 | December 21, 2009 10:16 PM | Report abuse

Guys, don't you see? Zorn has been setting this up for the longest time. He said, "You embarrass me, I embarrass you on national TV."

And he has. He knows he is gone and is getting in his last laugh on Dan Snyder--AND HE TAKES HIS MILLIONS WITH HIM.

Monday night was the time to do, Holmgren already promised him a job, and now he is saying Hail, up yours Snyder.

They might as well shut Campbell down for the night/season, too.

Posted by: Invisman52 | December 21, 2009 10:16 PM | Report abuse

Sad sad sorry bunch of losers....The offensive line is putrid...Another pathetic national TV performance.

This is what Jaworski said in this mornings print edition:

"It's a beat-up bunch, a replacement team," he said. "But I'll give everyone on the coaching staff credit: they're playing hard."

Everyone on the coaching staff? Ron, let's go to the film....

Posted by: League-Source | December 21, 2009 10:16 PM | Report abuse

I don't make that call playing Madden 2010. Zorn should be fired tomorrow. The single worst call of the NFL season hands down.

Posted by: patio100 | December 21, 2009 10:16 PM | Report abuse

we had a chance to win the atlanta game, this has got to be worse,

it's a TOTAL COLLAPSE ON NATIONAL TV AFTER GETTING EVERYONE'S ATTENTION DURING THE WEEK. . .

Wow...

Posted by: skinsfan8KaboveMSL | December 21, 2009 10:17 PM | Report abuse

Zorn calls the plays in the last 2 minutes of each half..HE MADE THE FAKE FG CALL.. Soooooo, I agree with everyone here..... its an FU to the owners box and the new GM...

AND. think about it.. Zorn knows he has a job now reuniting with Holmgren in Cleveland (Holmgren said Zorn was being treated poorly in DC).. So Zorn has nothing to lose but to have fun screwing with the Skins...

PLEASE FIRE ME...is what he is saying.. its worth alot more money to him than if he coaches out the remaining season.

Posted by: cliftonbiz | December 21, 2009 10:17 PM | Report abuse

It's like Snyder and Da Mob were systematically trying to launder money and destroy the team and its fanbase simultaneously..He's single-handedly driven this team into the ground..He covered his face with his hand on the air, he should never show his backstabbing face in public again..Thousands of Giants fans, almost the same amount as Skins in the stadium..DISGUSTING!!!

Posted by: frak | December 21, 2009 10:17 PM | Report abuse

Zorn clearly ran out to ensure Danny called the same lame azz play again.

We should call him Stanley, he is a TOOL.

Posted by: SkinsfaninKaneohe | December 21, 2009 10:18 PM | Report abuse

Oh boy. This is pathetic. Bench one player? Need to bench the entire team. I'm not even gonna bother watching the second half.

Posted by: treadlefish | December 21, 2009 10:18 PM | Report abuse

I love the skins, but the truth is you reap what you sow. Zorn may be an awful coach, but the treatment by the owner has been satanic at best. You simply don't treat people like he has been treated. even the fat, greasy haired, buger eater in the corner deserves more dignity than Snyder et. al have shown Zorn. Fine, he is going to be fired....but do you really have to leak all the discussions with Shanny into the press with three games left in the season. That wasn't the press's doing....it was pure Snyder PR whisperings.

Riggins was right, Snyder is a low life puny little punk who took many, many , many beatings as a child. I am willing to bet he was a cutter.....too bad he missed an artery, because unfortunately we are stuck his cold, dark, shadowless, evil for the next 2 million years!

Can anyone remember another embarrasing moments by the Skins?
YES!!! Against the Giants in 2005 with none other than Joe Gibbs as coach, the Redskins lost 36-0 to these Giants.
If you ask me, forget the Cowgirls and the Eagles. The Giants are the teams the Redskins MUST beat in the division. The year we beat them soundly is the year we will make the playoffs.
The Giants have had our number now for some years. Losing the 1st game of the season 23-17 to them in much the same manner where they completely dominated us, (if I recall the Skins had no TD on offense in that game either) spoke volume.
This is where Vinny was at fault to me for not solidifying the O line to protect the Giants aggressive D.
The Giants are not team to beat. Quite frankly, we deserve the butt kicking we are getting from them now.

Why did God allow Campbell and Zorn to come here. No, this has nothing to do with football b/c I believe was very good (Campbell) and the other is less than average.

What I mean is why would God allow nice human beings to be subjected to working for such an organization. They have graced Snyder with their presence. And so have we, the fans.

If Allen is turn this place around, he is going to need to exorcise some demons. Remember when Chavez spoke after Bush and Obama and said he smelled sulfur? Well, I think wherever Snyder is, that is what one smells.

Dear Washington Redskins:

That play at the end of the half single-handedly caused me to go over my text message limit of 1,000 per month. I was at 500 before the play. People I haven't heard from in years are texting me.

Some of them include:

Dad - wasn't that your High School trick play?

Friend who only watches x-games - hahahahahahahaha

Ex-girlfriend's dad - no wonder she dumped you... loser

Ravens buddy - is tonight the night you finally come to our side?

Random number - if you are a Skins fan I would kill myself

Thank you so much for not only the extra text charges, but for the most embarrassing moment in the history of my sports life.

Blow it up Bruce! Trade Cooley and Landry. Cartwright is too slow, cut him. Seriously, if we do not go get an O-Lineman with the first pick, then we will wreck another QB's bright future. There is no way a rookie QB will have any chance of developing when he is on his back all season.

Posted by: clnicely | December 21, 2009 10:44 PM | Report abuse

An emphatic YES, Landry should be benched and fined! Remember the Atlanta game and those two TDs he decided Michael Turner's fantasy owners needed, or if your memory is really bad, how about the two TDs he gave up against the Saints on Dec. 6?

Haynesworth is lazy, and Landry thinks he walks on water. This is your Dan Snyder "talent"!
