Skins Lead 17-10 at Half
Jason Campbell was a stud in that second quarter. Can't ask for more than that. He's feeling the rush, sensing the defender and stepping up into the pocket like a pro's pro. Even though he's been hit a few times, and even with DeMarcus Ware on his back, JC is making huge plays.
He went 6 for 7 for 60 yards on a TD on the first scoring drive. Then he went 3-4 for 39 yards and a TD.
Then he threw the first down bomb to Moss - again, tremendous presence there to step up and away from the backside pressure - for 53 yards. And man, Terrence Newman biting on the double move? He's usually better than that.
Not getting the TD there could be huge - Zorn was really ticked about having to kick the field goal - but what a sequence.
As for defense, Shawn Springs is taking TO right out of the game. Completely. Tony Romo isn't even looking over to his side of the field anymore. Springs has taken him out of the game and thrown him around pretty good, too. Love how Greg Blache is rotating his D Line as well. Every active D Line played within the first 10 minutes - in this heat and against a huge O Line like Dallas has, staying fresh is imperative.
Neither team can run the ball, but it doesn't seem to matter. Should be a heck of a second half.

Man this slow posting sucks, you have to predict what's happening 10 mins in advance. We need a turnover

1. JC underthrew Moss should have been 21-7
2. Prevent Defense permitted 3 as trying to avoid 7.
3. Now D looked lifeless on that drive.
come on Rock, lets get going again...

When its Cowboys- Redskins one can't get to comfortable with a lead. I hope they pull it off though this would be a great notch for Jason and the 'Skins. Also what's up with Robach?

I couldn't see the first play that was called for holding, but on being over the line of scrimmage, Rabach locked up on a rusher, pushed him downfield 3 yds, and then lost contact just before JC threw the pass.

So will we win or will we give it away?
Posted by: jiacinto | September 28, 2008 6:54 PM | Report abuse
at least we got 2 non calls to sort of make up for it, but it doesn't put those points back on the board
