Posted by: pennstate1 | September 27, 2009 3:05 PM | Report abuse

Posted by: BeantownGreg1 | September 27, 2009 3:06 PM | Report abuse

gotta stop em here...hold them to no points...

Posted by: BeantownGreg1 | September 27, 2009 3:07 PM | Report abuse

They do just enough to make you hopeful, then they stomp on your heart again.

Posted by: MrRedskin21 | September 27, 2009 3:08 PM | Report abuse

Our line cant hold a pocket together for our QB.
Agree or Disagrees?

Posted by: alex35332 | September 27, 2009 3:08 PM | Report abuse

@nate:

quick slants, d was sitting on it, campbell was under pressure and tried to force it to moss.

Posted by: nami322 | September 27, 2009 3:08 PM | Report abuse

good ole te, always making new friends!

Posted by: Curzon417 | September 27, 2009 3:04 PM

There's a lot of places where I don't use my real name, talent_evaluator. I go by the name "Curzon417." People always welcome me. They say, "Come on in Curzon. You got some tequila with you, don't you?"

Posted by: talent_evaluator | September 27, 2009 3:09 PM | Report abuse

Should have went to Cooley.

Posted by: jm220 | September 27, 2009 3:09 PM | Report abuse

I see a new head coach at the helm next week who will give Collins a shot at running the offense

Posted by: dfigure | September 27, 2009 3:00 PM

JC17 is 12/17 for 200 yards with 1 TD, 0 INTs and a 129.5 QB rating. Portis/Betts have 8 rushes for 17 yards.

Why would you replace the one thing on offense that's working?

Posted by: Alan4

you were saying...

JC can move the ball in the middle of the field, but has trouble in the red zone. it's well documented by many on here.

Posted by: 1965skinsfan | September 27, 2009 3:09 PM | Report abuse

Simple: put in Sonny.

Posted by: fan-o-matic | September 27, 2009 3:09 PM | Report abuse

JC let it fly with someone coming in untouched right in his face, couldn't see the safety's position on the route. Ill advised throw under pressure.

Posted by: RomoLongballs | September 27, 2009 3:09 PM | Report abuse

No video... could someone recap the INT please?

Line is playing ok!

Posted by: rickyroge | September 27, 2009 3:09 PM | Report abuse

Oh my God...we actually stopped them on 3rd down.

Posted by: MyPostIDisAfake | September 27, 2009 3:09 PM | Report abuse

Moss has to get the ball. True he can't throw it to him every play, but he has to be agressive in catching the ball.

Posted by: RedDMV | September 27, 2009 3:09 PM | Report abuse

Nice stand, D.

OSackPo!

Posted by: Curzon417 | September 27, 2009 3:10 PM | Report abuse

Okay, we're not good yet in this game, but we are much better than in the first half.

Wonder if Zorn invited Gibbs into the lockerroom at halftime to kick some chairs.

Posted by: JohnnyRyde | September 27, 2009 3:10 PM | Report abuse

Thanks, folks. Well, a D stop at midfield after an INT sure sounds like what a competent team would do... "competence"... huh... what a concept... keep working the ball downfield, you Redskins...

Posted by: NateinthePDX | September 27, 2009 3:11 PM | Report abuse

How did WAS get a penalty on the punt return?>

Posted by: jiacinto | September 27, 2009 3:11 PM | Report abuse

i think somebody got on the D's azz at halftime

Posted by: nami322 | September 27, 2009 3:12 PM | Report abuse

The O-LINE is as bad as any in the whole league - cannot be emphasized enough.

JC would actually be better off without any line - at least they wouldn't get in his g-da#n way.

Posted by: tomfoley1 | September 27, 2009 3:13 PM | Report abuse

JC STOP GOING TO MOSS....throw it to cooley, or ARE DANGIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JC Ugh...

Posted by: rachel216 | September 27, 2009 3:16 PM | Report abuse

Back to normal. JC is being given the chance to make things happen now, can't blame Zorn for shackling him. He needs to step it up now.

Posted by: ga8085 | September 27, 2009 3:16 PM | Report abuse

Is Moss the only receiver the Skins have?

Posted by: JeanJak | September 27, 2009 3:16 PM | Report abuse

jc is what he is, and that is a mediocre to poor qb...

Time for Todd Ball!

JC can't catch a snap in shotgun or hold onto a football, indoors!

Come on JC, we need you to bring us to a victory!

Posted by: rachel216 | September 27, 2009 3:17 PM | Report abuse

CARLOS ROGERS YOU WORTHLESS HUMAN BEING

Posted by: MyPostIDisAfake | September 27, 2009 3:18 PM | Report abuse

It's 3rd and 18 you're under center and notice the DE jump offsides you drop back to pass you know you need a first down and you've got a free play you wind off dumping it off to a back for a gain of 5. Fans we have got a winner under center, this dude dosent even know what's going on on the field.

Posted by: talent_evaluator | September 27, 2009 3:19 PM | Report abuse

You can see that Jason Campbell is a top-flight QB just waiting to explode.

As soon as the Redskins get a new owner, new coach, new receivers, new running back, and some new offensive linemen, he'll be the next Tom Brady.

Posted by: MrRedskin21 | September 27, 2009 3:19 PM | Report abuse

14-13 victory in sight! Then we can claim to have a "shutdown" defense which is one of the best around!

Posted by: abtassler | September 27, 2009 3:23 PM | Report abuse

Portis is getting killed.. The OLine is just standing around, not holding their blocks and watching CP go down. 12 yards rushing so far for 3 qtrs.

JC just completed 1 of his last 6 passes; needed 20 and he dumps it off to Betts. UFB! The only 3rd down conversion was when JC ran for it. He stinks. If Moss is covered he panics.

i thought the strength of this offense was cooley and randle el underneath when they doublecovered moss and kelly deep. wtf is going on with zorn?
they coulda called a screen on that last play, woulda been much better than dropping back and throwing into dime defense with no downfield blockers.

Posted by: kman2 | September 27, 2009 3:33 PM | Report abuse

This is so bad I can't even come up with a clever one-liner to make light of it.

Posted by: Original_etrod | September 27, 2009 3:33 PM | Report abuse

It's 3rd and 20 you're under center you drop back in the pocket scan the field, polrotection is pretty good you step up in the pocket to buy some time then ou of nowhere you dump it off to the back for a gain of 5. Same figgin thing from this dude for the past 5 years, he's a straight up pu$$y.

Posted by: murphyz | September 27, 2009 3:33 PM | Report abuse

Campbell is clueless out there. When is he going to step up and say "I'm leading my team into the endzone?" Instead he is fumbling snaps and looking confused out there.

Campbell reminds me of a robot. No human instinct at all. I mean, if you watch him, no matter how many of our WR may be open, if the play is for ARE or Sat, he's goin to throw it to them no matter what. This is likely Camp's last year, period!

Here comes another chance for JC to lead us to the endzone. DO IT this time.

Posted by: rachel216 | September 27, 2009 3:35 PM | Report abuse

detroit is doing all the things throwing out of their own end zone essentially. can we please do something to take advantage of that instead of giving him all day to scan the DAMN FIELD

We're talking about the LIONS folks. We are losing to the "lowly" Lions. What does that make our team? Put Collins in. Can't be much worse and what if he leads them to victory?

Posted by: 1965skinsfan | September 27, 2009 3:38 PM | Report abuse

I liked that on the first play, though slowed, he bulled the guy to his back. I don't want to beat on him while he's down but in a detatched way he compares to Griffin similar to the way Montgomery compares to Golston. I may be partial but, I think Golston outplays Monty. He's a high energy type but that could typecast what I consider out working the competition.

Golston and Monty were 5th and 6th round picks, good ones I believe. If Golston keeps improving and gets the playing time he could possibly put up numbers like Griffin has at times, which is saying a lot. But Monty and Hansey are bigger dudes that haven't had to work as hard to achieve the same goal. Which could lead to a sharper edge for the smaller guys. Still keep Hansey healthy and hard working and skys the limit.

no foul???!?!?!?

Posted by: nami322 | September 27, 2009 3:40 PM | Report abuse

All that matters in defensive stats is points allowed.

They allowed 16* pts in Game 1.
*Umenyiora scored a TD on D.

They allows 7 points in Game 2.

They allowed 13 points so far in Game 3.

Meanwhile, the offense has scored 10 pts** in Game 1.
**Hunter Smith had a special teams TD.

9 pts in Game 2.

7 pts so far in Game 3.

The problem is O, not D.

refs reverse a game changing call..

Smart move.. they have to walk to their cars after the game, in the mugging capital of the US.

Posted by: SkinsneedaGM | September 27, 2009 3:43 PM | Report abuse

Lets form a walkout during one of the games at Fed Ex field. We will do it against the Eagles on Monday Night Football. We set a time in the third quarter and all start to walk out. It will get mass attention since its the only game on. This is the only way to get Danny's attention. COMMON, LETS F*$ING DO IT! WHO'S WITH ME!
Sincerely Yours,
Pluto.

Plus he's had absolutely no running game to play off of, I don't think any QB in history would do well if there was no running game to compliment the passing.

The strategy of Offense and Defense sucks.

BeanTownGreg1,

Wherever you at, I hope you realize now when I said this Team was not and still is not in FOOTBALL SHAPE!!!

We do not know who and whats on first. Why, because that comes from serious football training by the whole Team.

Football training weeds out the weak and the ones that think they have already made it but cannot produce anymore.

Being in great year round physical shape means nothing when compared to a Football Team that earns that name from Football training.

You ever wonder why the vets and prima donna's don't like preseason and camp? Cause it is hard and once you go through it your body gets transformed to a football player, not the ones that too many of these Redskins are.

The Redskins haven't trained hard in camp and preseason in years. If they had, a lot of these names that we have seen on the field for years now would not be here.

BeanTownGreg1, I told you this once before and I know what I am talking about.

All this scheming crap and WCO don't mean crap if you ain't got Football Players like LA was.

Yeah, years ago we decided we did not need real Football Players like BMitch, but we wanted players that fit into schemes.

Hell, we can fit all these bloggers into a scheme, but when we meet a real Football Team, Katie Bar The Door.

Charlie Casserly was a scheme guy, Bobby Mitchell was a Football guy. Worst mistake this Franchise made was making CC the GM instead of Mitchell and we haven't recovered yet.

Anybody remember those comments from that linemen in St. Louis? About how haynesworth will just go down and you'll think he's hurt? But really he's just taking a few plays off? Seemed ridiculous at the time but I feel like I've seen that at lease once in every game
