Is Rhino hurt, worhteless, or both?
Posted by: edvar | November 8, 2009 11:54 AM | Report abuse
I have a buddy in Atlanta for the game and said a ton of Skins fans made the trip.... Maybe some oldschool Skin fans, (since the Skins used to be the team of the South) showed up to watch the train wreck of 2009?

Too bad for Barnes, but this is great for Marko. Hopefully he can get out there and make a difference.
I'm excited to see Robert Henson on teams.

What is it with Rhino, if he can't make the roster with this O-line he might as well pack it in!
Posted by: barks_24 | November 8, 2009 11:56 AM | Report abuse
1st Step: Activate Marko.
-it's about time
2nd Step: Get him involved.
Henson is actually athletic enough to make a difference. You can't teach athleticism.
"Rick Maese writes today, the Redskins have cycled through 10 starting quarterbacks: Brad Johnson, Jeff George, Tony Banks, Patrick Ramsey, Danny Wuerffel, Shane Matthews, Tim Hasselbeck, Mark Brunell, Todd Collins and Jason Campbell."
This is and has always been the Reason for our mediocrity. I assure you Redskin fans when we find a QB who can play well consistenly, we will win consistently.
That's the way of the NFL and it has been that way for as long as I can remember.
Remember the Charlie Casserly video of Soup missing open WR's. In addition, Soups misses have not been limited to what was shown in that video. IF SOUP HITS THOSE WRS IT CHANGES THE GAME COMPLETELY AND SUDDENLY OUR O-LINE GETS CREDIT FOR GIVING HIM TIME TO FIND AN OPEN WR!!!!!!!!!!!!

Justin Tryon has improved significantly from his rookie campaign. Darrel Green believes he is a starter in this league.
Tryon has good quickness from what I've seen and the fact that he is improving is about all you can ask for from a young player!

No Norwood or Snelling again for Falcons
Posted by Josh Alper on November 8, 2009 12:28 PM ET
It will be a busy Sunday for Falcons running back Michael Turner as both of his primary backups are again inactive because of injuries.
Jerious Norwood and Jason Snelling are both on the inactive list for a second straight week because of a hip and hamstring injury, respectively. Aaron Stecker, Verron Haynes and Ovie Mughelli are the other active Falcon running backs, but none of them had carries in last week's loss to the Saints.
Several other Falcons starters listed as questionable, including defensive end John Abraham, tackle Sam Baker and, as previously reported, wide receiver Roddy White will be in the lineup.
On the Redskins side, safety Chris Horton will start despite being listed as questionable with a knee injury. Wide receiver Marko Mitchell is active for the first time since Week 2 as the team deactivated CB Byron Westbrook which raises the likelihood of a Westbrook-free Sunday in the NFL.
NFL.com has all of the rest of the inactives for both teams right here.

so hunter smith is hurt again....the skin's offense (or lack of) is overworking the punters.
It's probably a safe bet to say that hunter is in the top 3 for most punts this year. This pitiful offense will go through 1-3 punters a year.

Dave Goldberg, Associated Press: "... looks like a good prospect. But he probably would have been there at 40, the pick the Skins traded, and a lot of people think Charlie Frye of Akron, taken by Cleveland with the third pick of the third round (67), is as good or better."
I watched Charlie Frye in the preseason for Seattle last year, but I was only glancing up from whatever else I was doing to watch the plays. I wasn't paying attention to commentary, jersey numbers, etc.
I remember thinking that "Hasselbeck" was looking really sharp. I watched an entire quarter before realizing that it was Frye under center, not Hasselbeck.
Anecdotal and preseason, but the guy can play.

At some point you have to wonder how much Bugel is responsible for the O-line; that was a three-man rush against five, and as Moose pointed out, there were "guys standing around" (including Rabach, who blocked no one on the play).
They must put a HAT on someone on EVERY play. Go find someone and hit them.

My suggestion to Jim Zorn is this-
Call your agent. You are going to need to have someone by your side when Snyder pulls a "Norv" on you after the game and has you wait for 4 hours before meeting with you, in the hopes that you will resign. If this is the way the team comes out after the bye week (give up a drive, neg yards, pick-6) you best be updating the resume.
I hear U-Haul is running a holiday special.
Thx,
Jay!

Bad penalty. The falcons players were out of bounds too... Not that it will make any difference.

Idiots need to start taking shots downfield to Moss. He's the only playmaker on offense. Get him the damn ball..another sack. Disgusting..

And how exactly does the qb have time to do that? Put in Albright to long-snap JC the ball to give him ONE second longer before the line collapses in around him?

you see what JC can do when he has time and receivers arn't too stupid to get open
