i bet kelly would produce more than our FIRST or second receivers if they would just let him freaking play.

kpayn17, I distinctly recall Malcolm producing a drop when a key 3rd pass hit him in the hands in the 2nd half.

It might have been the 2nd Giants game?

Is Kelly out just to make room for Fred Davis again? Why don't they realize that REAL GAME REPS is the only thing that is going to turn him into a NFL WR?!?!? Tell me we are not stunting his growth every frickin week we do this nonsense!

Well, I agree with you. But the silver lining is that (1) he has a good seat on the sideline where he can see all the action just like a real player and (2) he gets to go into the lockerroom with the real players and see how the half-time stuff is handled. Enough weeks of this and he'll be ready to be an assistant coach on a high school team.

Have you ever considered the kids knees are probably worse then posted? The "super-smart" FO drafted him when others were too leery to get him. I have zero confidence in the FO, but if his knees are still hurting, maybe they are finally doing something right by keeping him out of the game? Just maybe.

I don't know why everyone is down on JC. We won three Super Bowls with Theismann, Williams, and Rypian for Christs sake! Baltimore won one with Dilfer, NY won one with Manning. You don't need a top 10 QB to win it all. Remember Marino....no SB. Jurgenson(my favorite Skins QB)no SB. Let's give JC a GOOD line and at least two years in the SAME system b4 dumping him.

Posted by: vegasskinsfan | December 21, 2008 4:04 PM | Report abuse

Wet conditions are a mixed bag for passing game. Its tough on for both sides of the ball. But wind makes passes go places they aren't supposed to go ... the offense usually gets the worst of it in the wind.

Posted by: zcezcest1 | December 21, 2008 4:05 PM | Report abuse

This may have been addressed, but someone asked best case where we are after today:

If we win and ATL loses, we would then earn (using that term loosely) a wildcard berth next week by beating SF AND by STL beating ATL AND OAK beating TB. I know it's unlikely but STL and OAK have nothing to lose...ok, you could argue they have nothing to play for too, but TB is clearly feeling the pressure, getting waxed at home today in a semi-must win. And STL - yes they are bad, but they beat us and DAL...you never know....

let's just win today and see what happens...keep an eye on Minny/Atl, GO VIKES!

Anyway, Iggles in a rout. This team has quit. (Not all, but most.)

Posted by: TheCork

.... I do not think they quit. You think Cooley gave up, hence his fumble? No, just bad luck/mental mistake. And Sellers, you think he wasn't giving it all he had to score?...++++--Notorious

What part of "not all, but most" was unclear?

Posted by: TheCork | December 21, 2008 2:30 PM | Report abuse

so who exactly has "quit"? I'm real curious to know who you think isn't trying. If Mike Sellers doesn't fumble, we win that game. No doubt in my mind. The stadium was at least 30% Skins fans and we were getting loud, you could see the bench was amped, and we had all the momentum. That was a devastating play Cork. I'm not sure how much you could tell on TV, but that play took all the air ouuta them...SO, if you are saying "MOST" of the team quit IN THE 4th QUARTER....well, I still don't buy that, but it would be a slightly less inaccurate statement.

You are wrong that this team MOSTLY gave up. You will see that today. I'm not guranteeing a win, but I would bet a lot that they battle hard. Your seeming willingness to pin our systematic flaws and issues on a players quitting and a couple of boneheaded antics is mystifying.

Zorn wins these last two, I say it's a hell of a debut, all things considered.

The Bears have six losses. We have the tie break at 9-7. If DC plays up to its God given abilities and hustles and Campbell can see the field, make the easy play by throwing on time to the open receiver consistently, DC could win by two or three scores; however, Philly games are usually decided by 7 or less.

Posted by: Realness1 | December 21, 2008 4:17 PM | Report abuse

Anyone drunk yet? Anyone still think the Skins will make the playoffs? Fun Vinny Cerrato draft fact that no one on here has talked about yet. The Skins drafted punter Durant Brooks in the 6th round, we cut him. The Broncos punter Brett Kern who went undrafted, is avg. 47 yards a punt. That's 5th in the NFL. Kern had a better punt average then Brooks in the 2007 college season. Anyone still wonder why the Skins only have a prayers chance at making the playoffs.

If the Skins had a real GM, we'd have a good strong offensive line, like the Titans and Ravens do. Oh well, I hope everyone in the NFC playoff chase loses and the Skins win there last 2 games. Yeah and I hope Vinny Cerrato will get canned and Danny Snyder will give 100% control to a real football guy. Kickoff, go Skins!!

Free play and Campbell runs out of bounds?!?!?!?! Kerry Collins threw a 40 yard TD today on a free play. Campbell is just not that good!!!

Maybe Campbell didn't see the flag because he was busy reading the defense....he-he!

You think the Eagles knew Campbell was going to Moss in the end zone? Good think they catch like our DBs.

Naked bootleg for a TD by Cutler. Skins need to add that play to their arsenal.
