Injuries/Other Stuff (Updated)

Gregg Williams will never reveal who his starters are, but talking to him today you got the feeling that Randall Godfrey is going to be in the mix stopping the run against the NFL's premier rushing team. HB Blades and Khary Campbell will be involved too, but especially lining up against the left side of the Vikes' offensive line, I think they want a big, physical linebacker there.

Look for them to blitz Tarvaris Jackson when possible. A lot of the heat might come from the linebackers and I exspect them to target RT Ryan Cook with some of the pressure. Phillip Daniels, a very powerful end who is slowing down and not a great pass rusher, but has massive upper-body strength, might do a number on that kid.

Spoke to some scouts who suggested the Redskins will go with a heavy battery of screen passes and establish Portis and Betts that way, with the VIkings so hard to pound the ball against on the ground.

Bubba Tyer said TE Todd Yoder is expected to practice Friday and they are holding out hope he will be active this weekend, but it's too soon to tell.

Santana Moss and Clinton Portis returned to practice, a day after sitting out the team's walk-through because of stomach flu. LaRon Landry (quadriceps) and Pierson Prioleau (hamstring) did not practice today; they'll be monitored Friday. Omar Stoutmire, signed Wednesday, could be active Sunday. Keenan McCardell has a calf strain and Mike Pucillo missed practice because of a back injury.

The Redskins are stressing to the players to drink fluids constantly. There are signs around Redskins Park telling them to start hydrating now for this weekend, with the Metrodome notoriously hot and conditions tough.
