Injury report: Sellers, Landry among questionables but expected to play

The Redskins listed eight players as questionable for Sunday's game, all of whom are likely to play Sunday at Chicago. The team's questionables for the Bears game: Trent Williams (knee/toe), DeAngelo Hall (back), Mike Sellers (heel), LaRon Landry (Achilles), Chad Simpson (hamstring), Carlos Rogers (shoulder), Rocky McIntosh (head) and Chris Cooley (head).

All eight practiced fully on Friday except for Simpson, Landry and Sellers, who were limited, according to the injury report. Sellers guaranteed he'd play on Sunday and Coach Mike Shanahan said Landry is fine. The coach did not mention Simpson during his media availability on Friday afternoon.

As for the Bears, cornerback Zackary Bowman (foot) and guard Roberto Garza (knee) both missed a third day of practice and are listed as doubtful. Linebacker Lance Briggs (ankle) and safety Major Wright (hamstring) were limited in practice Friday and both are questionable for Sunday's game.

Im down w/ that Wisnewski kid from State too. Gotta think with the lack of large sized Dlineman we go G/c with our first pick which should be middle pack, which are often tough to trade out of.

Posted by: Stu27 | October 22, 2010 3:29 PM

Continuing an earlier discussion about the Skins offseason plan, I think that the Skins will definately draft the "best available" big man in the first round OL/DL/or LB. Skill players will have to come latter.

As for the needs at WR, I am not too high on any of the projected First Rounders. But, I think that the team will look for a Brandon Marshall type who slips through the cracks, but knows how to get open and catch the ball.

There is a guy playing tonight who I would keep an eye out for Armon Binns of Cinncinati (2nd Rnd) along with two guys who may get lost in the shadow of higher profile players on their teams: Austin Pettis from Boise St and Terrence Tolliver from LSU. Both could fall on draft day.

There is a guy playing tonight who I would keep an eye out for Armon Binns of Cinncinati (2nd Rnd). He creates more separation than the more highly rated Floyd (ND) and Baldwin (Pitt). I like Binns along with two guys who may get lost in the shadow of higher profile players on their teams: Austin Pettis from Boise St and Terrence Tolliver from LSU. Both could fall on draft day.

Now that Monk811 is gone for the day, can someone tell me why he keeps making those ridiculous Nerd posts? Did someone make the mistake of telling him it was funny?

Not funny the first time, and definitely not funny the 60th.

He and his friend playaction think it's hilarious. They are pretty good-natured about it and seem to not take themselves too seriously. Pretty harmless but you gotta wonder what it is about it that cracks them up so.

Exactly. It's like being stuck in the middle of someone else's "had to be there" joke.

Remember when they used to call MC51 Superman? So who is our Superman these days? Landry gets it on physique alone, but I might have to vote for Lo Al.

Wait a minute....

If they didn't practice like the rest of the team then they won't play right?

Just sayin...

Jackson will be eligible to return to the struggling Chargers for a game at Indianapolis on Nov. 28.

Counting the six games he plays and the bye week, he'll earn $240,058 rather than the $3,268,000 he would have made had he signed his tender as a restricted free agent before the season.

sounds like somebody needs to fire their
agent

Naw, he probably just wanted to stick it to AJ Smith, the GM. He'll make that money up when he signs as a free agent.

If they keep losing, they'll have to pay him.

Google him. He was the 1st overall pick 11 years ago by the TB Rays and deservedly so.

He had substance abuse problems and was out of the league for a few years.

Long story short, he's back in the league and is the all around best player. He's was the MVP of the ALCS series against the Yankees.

His team (Texas Rangers) celebrates with ginger ale instead of booze to support him.
