Injury Update

Seven regulars missed at least part of yesterday's frigid and wet practice, including three starting offensive linemen.

Receiver Santana Moss (hamstring) was in pads but did not participate in all drills and remains questionable, while receiver David Patten (hamstring) remains doubtful. Starting safety Troy Vincent (hamstring) was not on the field for the start of practice and is questionable. Offensive lineman Jon Jansen (calf), Chris Samuels (knee) and Casey Rabach (shoulder) are all listed as probable and will be assessed later in the week, Gibbs said. Defensive end Phillip Daniels is probable with a wrist injury.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Vincent injured! what a surprise, somthing no one talks about is how MOST FAs skins sign are always in and out with injuries!(why they were let go by other team)but skins have no problem taking chance and then look stupid when they go down with no backup plan.

Yes, before I forget to say it, the best of the Thanksgiving Day gorgefest to all of you. May your turkey be fat, your belly stuff'd twice over, and your turkey naps be long and pleasant.

gay redskin blog,

Vincent blocked that field goal in the Dallas game - therefore, he is worth any amount of $$$ they paid him. And Gibbs says he thinks he will play.

Happy Turkey Day peeps!

May the food coma help you endure the two turkey games during the day so you can get to the NFL Network game at night. That is, if you get NFL Network.

Gobble, gobble!

On this Thanksgiving holiday, may Tawny Kitaen find the strength to dust away the snow, may Heidi Fleiss refrain from offering Iron Mike employment as Executive Principle Senior Staff Stud, and may Nick Novak enjoy his ceremonial kicker's crockpot to its fullest potential.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

For what it's worth, Comcast just reported that Gibbs had a BIG talk with the team....more so than his usual "we are in this together" speech. Told them they have not been physical enough and that MUST change. Said the next 6 weeks are comparable to "performance reviews" - or words to that effect.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone.....

I can see my Dad at the table tomorrow after over-cooking the turkey...

What I'm focused on right now is this meal is kind of where we are. That's not where we want to be. I told the family today I would spend a lot of time examining the thermometer over the next year before I see them again.

I think what's important for us -- this is where we are, we kind of know what we can do and what we would like to be eating, and I've gone back to review some past Thanksgiving dinners where the meal came out great.

And then what's important for us next Thanksgiving is to say: This is where we
are. This is what we want to be,' and it's important to say, 'This is how we
get there.

Have a happy Thanksgiving JLa, and everyone else on the blog!

Happy Thanksgiving all!! The skins are going to pull off a shocker this weekend over Carolina!! Gibbs finally is starting to show some fire, and that will translate to the team.

Skins 23
Carolina 20

Hey there. The stuff about the Gibbs meeting will be in the Redskins Notebook in the Thurs. paper.
Honestly, I found it not much of a story. They are 3-7 and thought they were going to the Super Bowl - of course jobs are on the line. Gibbs challenged them to step up their individual effort and performance if they wanted to remain Redskins.
Now, I am not sure if that's the greatest incentive in the world or not, 'cause some might be lookin to get out anyway, but it's worth saying nonetheless I suppose.

Aren't most of the players thinking " What could you do to me" when Gibbs rants about performance reviews? Doesn't the cap dictate what would happen to a lot of the bigger ticket players? DO the skins really want to win anyway? Doesn't more of the losing help next seasons strength of schedule formula and draft position forumla?

Interesting that so many players are sitting out cold/wet practices, maybe Dan's new project (since he's definetly not meddling in contracts) can be to build an indoor facility like Spurrier wanted. Gibbs likes to practice outdoors, but I suspect that Saunders wants an indoor facility to practice screen passes to Betts away from the elements.

If Grilliams leaves after this year, I wonder who the candidates would be to replace him? If Gibbs goes to the front office, maybe he and Tomkat will watch Days of Thunder and Tokyo drift DVD's on the Lav Coles memorial big screen plasma TV at the park. Chopper out to the motorways on race day, then back to the War Room for draft plans and free agent visit planning. "Sign with Washington and we'll find you a bit role in the next movie...won't count against the cap...."

Gobble, Gobble, Gobble!!!

Wait a sec, what's the Official Turkey of the Washington Redskins?

Once we've found that out, of course we'll need to find out who the official Turkey Sandwhich of the Washington Redskins is.

Yeah well, I need to see my agent about renegotiating my blogging contract. Apparently there is some missing money...or something.

Happy Turkey Day!!!!!
