Bruce Allen to meet with assistant coaches

Just got off the phone with a couple of people inside the organization, who provided some details about the team's plans for the remainder of the day.

At 10 a.m., new General Manager Bruce Allen is scheduled to meet with assistant coaches to inform them of the team's plans after the firing of Coach Jim Zorn early today. The assistants, some of whom are under contract in 2010, are expected to be told they must complete player-evaluation reports, team sources said. After completing the reports, the assistants are expected to be fired.

Players are expected to be briefed on the situation in a team meeting "around 11, 11:30," one source said. "All we're hearing right now is what we expected, which is he [Zorn] was fired."

Complete these reports and then get fired. Wonder how good those reports will be?

4th, if the Skins draft Sam Bradford with any first round pick (let alone the 4th - ironicly - overall pick), I will officially renounce my fandom and you can expect another 10 years of mediocrity.

spo who gets to do jason campbell's player evaluation report? didn't they fire the guy who would do this in the dead of night?

I'd say people who are making a pretty decent living.

The Cayenne SUV are nice as hell! Inside and out.

Enough of this assistant coach nonsense, when can we get an update on the Rooney rule?

All the little children ran with great anticipation, saved nickels clutched in their sweaty hands. Shrill voices carried down the neighborhood streets and across the open fields:

"The circus is back in town!"

"The circus is bak in town..."

"Rooney rule? there's a Rooney Rule? I didn't know that." J. Gray

IF we get Sam Bradford, he will not start until year 2.

So, that means the Redskins have 2 years to get their line in order for him.

JAson Campbell will not go to another team, for less than a 3rd/2nd round pick, so more than likely...he'll stay. OR, we could start Todd Collins or Colt or soon to be named journeyman in his place until Bradford is ready to take over.

What's the problem with all this?

Those will be the most half-assed player evaluations in history. You think guys who know they are about to be canned are going to give that any real thought or time.

I can't believe there were so many people feeling bad for Zorn. Guy made several million to be a completely incompetent head coach. Good riddance.

i say we draft the safty from TN berry or trade down and get multiple picks there isnt a qb in this draft good enough and O linemin good enough eather berry is a beast and that can let landry go back to his natrual spot so he dont get beat all the dang time

Two significant injuries to his throwing shoulder and you want to draft him 4th overall? Why are you so enamored with him? Give me a break.
Hope Allen gives Blache his walking papers along with Bugel, Gray, and Smith. None of them deserve to stick around.

Cronic I liek your thinking. If you think they are gonna draft Bradford and let him sit you are crazy. this is not the 70s they start rookies right away.

__________

If it's Shanahan, he has a guy (can't remember the name) who been his D-coord forever, so Blache at least will be gone whether he wants to or not.

Do what good teams do--- follow the Patriots blue print. In the draft, trade down and multiply your picks instead of trading up and losing your picks. Gather as many draft picks as possible.
Trade your 1 for 3 or 4 picks. Then trade your 2nd round pick for multiple picks. The Redskins have many needs. Gather as many draft picks as possible and look for sturdy players and uncovered gems in the later rounds.

I'll get excited when I hear that Allen has exit-interviews scheduled with the entire scouting/personnel department

Sam Bradford is a wasted pick. Jimmy Claussen is a wasted pick. Neither will amount to anything in the NFL and Bradford will be injured his entire "career". The Skins have a good QB. We need a stud RB and use the rest of the picks on the O line.

are you kidding me? complete player evaluations and then be fired? its a tough world out there in Redskins Land

Aw, kiss my my crusty pinkie toe, 4th! Interest , ya dig?

If you haven't learned anything about ya dude, you should have recognized by now that I don't care what some other bama has to say. And besides, who is this "many" that you're talking about? All I ever hear is props about that SUV.

The $135,000 one goes from 0-60 in 4.5 seconds and has 580hp.

Yeah who would want that pu**y ass ride?

Get your car game knowledge up, bama!
