Blades, Westbrook to miss Atlanta game

Linebacker H.B. Blades and cornerback Byron Westbrook are expected to miss Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery, Coach Jim Zorn said after practice today at Redskins Park.

"They're both working. They're both trying to get back," Zorn said. "I don't believe they'll be ready this week. I think they have a chance to be ready in the next game [against the Denver Broncos on Nov. 15] and we'll just see how they progress."

Blades and Westbrook suffered meniscus tears, Zorn said. The players underwent surgery last Tuesday.

Left tackle Stephon Heyer (knee) is "actually improving," Zorn said. Recently signed tackle Levi Jones is expected to have a bigger role in practice as Heyer continues to heal, "but I fully expect Stephon to be the guy."

It'll be nice to see Henson bustin' heads on teams. This guy will be a player sooner than later.

Hopefully K. Barnes is ready to show and prove.
