ahhhh that's some bad news. I mean, Golston will do a good job, but there's just no replacing Big Al.

We can still win..we've won before without Big Al and we will win today...remember Defense was never our problem..the O must step up and we'll be fine...

exactly jcn, exactly - and this Cowboy's offense is not a model of effciency to start with, regardless of what the stats say

I think if Big Al is out that Monty will beast-out..he's been on the bench all season..he has fresh legs and I know he wants to prove something...he may get a few sacks himself

JohnDinHouston--

It could be collective, but usually it's between a man and a woman. I gather from his grumpiness that it's what TheAnimalFarm's girlfriend refused to give him last night. He'd have a big smile on his face if she'd shown him how she does it.

PS. Reid - seriously, dude, you didn't actually think Oak could beat the Skinz did you? When you look at their FO, their HC, their QB, their high draft pick WR, etc., the Skinz look pretty decent compared to them.

Posted by: TheAnimalFarm

What I looked at was their win over the Eagles. Like most disaster areas with decent talent, they can beat almost anyone on "Any Given Sunday." Seriously, dude.

lbert Haynesworth, who is recovering from a sprained ankle, will not play today against the Cowboys.--REDSKIN INSIDER

That's a seven to 14 point swing. Redskins officially have NO chance, now. Had Haynesworth been healthy, with the 'pokes not having their starting ORT Colombo, skins had a fighting chance to harrass Romo and stuff their run game.

While Golston has had a decent year, he occupies one blocker, not the two-three Haynesworth demands.

Suddenly life got harder for Orakpo and Carter.

Posted by: TheCork | November 22, 2009 12:34 PM | Report abuse

Loosing Hansey for the Dallas game is disappointing. They bring him here to stomp some Cowboy heads. But I think Golston is probably the better pass rusher even if doesn't show on sack totals. Between playing time and the occasions that Hansey, being a handful, breaks through when the lineman has good position; likely equates to more sacks. But Golston seems more mobile and quicker, causing more hurries. I think Smoot is a great number 3 CB, proven starter. If the Cowboys try to exploit what may appear to be a weakness it may work to the Skins favor. It would also be nice for former Longhorn Orakpo to have a few sacks.

If DC knocks the remaining starting QB's on their schedule out of the games, they could finish 10-6.

Posted by: earlech | November 22, 2009 1:08 PM | Report abuse

Is there some unwritten rule that the Skins can't sign defensive players who can catch a football? And does the offense have a QB sneak call in its playbook? The last play is totally on the line for not being able to block a fourth and a couple of inches. But if ever there were a time to run a QB sneak, that was it. (I had no faith in the line's ability to gain that first down there.)
