Injury report: Hall doubtful, Sellers probable
Top cornerback DeAngelo Hall (knee) will be listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints, but Pro Bowl defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth (ankle) remained on track to start, Coach Jim Zorn said after practice today at Redskins Park.
"He still has been able to work laterally like we want," Zorn said. "But we still have 48 hours, so we're going to continue to work with him. Albert was limited again today. He went on it, he got some reps, he's still questionable."
Fullback Mike Sellers (ankle) will be listed as probable and nickel cornerback Justin Tryon (hip) "is questionable," Zorn said, "but he's probably going to be there."
Although Zorn expressed optimism about Haynesworth, who sat out the last two games, playing against the Saints, "I've got to list him as questionable because he really was limited today," he said. "He's still working through it, but he's getting better as we're going along."

Thanks for the props. Just for that, I'm in with the bet, except I'll sign my posts "Village Idiot" next week. Or maybe "Class Clown." Depends on the post I guess...

Everyone's burying the lede.
Leigh freaking Torrence will be IN THE HOUSE Sunday.
And wouldn't it be ironic if Drew Brees got some bad clams and couldn't play and Mark Brunell lead the Saints?

I think you and all the other donkeys out there talking about some sort of New Orleans letdown are nucking futs.
I know everyone wants to be the smarty pants that predicts David over Goliath.
But much like the Biblical account of the matchup, God himself would need to intervene on behalf of the Skins on Sunday...otherwise David gets pounded into a bloody pulp.
I don't think a short week, emotional win, or game outdoors on the road are sufficient factors to overcome the reality that the Skins truly genuinely suck and are playing the dregs of their roster at certain positions, while New Orleans are every bit deserving of their undefeated record.
Maybe there will be a New Orleans "letdown". But all that means is that the Skins lose 21-10 instead of 42-10.

Well if Tryon can't go then I guess we'll get to see if Barnes can play. That sucks, I actually wanted to see Tryon get tested some and see if he can play or not. I still think he was a bad pick and will never be anything more than a bottom of the depth chart guy. I wish they'd let him return some punts though, that's were I think he could be worth something, that INT return he had in the preseason for 6 was pretty, he could carve out a nice little career as the punt returner and #5 corner, if they did that then yeah cutting him would have been shortsighted, but hanging on to a 5'6" corner with any intention of him ever really competing with top wideouts is also shortsighted.

look at cork being funny...nicely done there guy...
in the game versus philly, I saw Bryon W. down a punt inside the 10, or something like that....my thoughts immediately went to LT, and had he downed it, he'd have gotten it to the 1-inch line.....
although, it has been downhill since he left the team....who knew...

Reminds me of a classic Seinfeld episode:
MICKEY: (to Kramer) Johnny Vigiano went through my locker.
KRAMER: YAOH!
MICKEY: (slamming the door) That little B@st@rd! He saw the lifts in my shoes. He knows I'm heightening. (to Kramer) This never would have happened if you hadn't pushed me to get those things. I told you.
KRAMER: Hey, nobody put a gun to your head.
MICKEY: Ya well just keep out of my business you big ape. (pushes Kramer)
KRAMER: Who you calling big ape? (pushes Mickey back)
MICKEY: You (grabs Kramer)
(Mickey and Kramer begin a struggle)
JERRY: (starts pulling them apart) All right break it up, break it up. Come on, just cut it out now (Kramer yells)
KRAMER: (pacing back and forth) Ya.
JERRY; Behave yourselves.
MICKEY: I'm sorry Kramer.
KRAMER: No no it's all right, it's all right. You're stressed Oooout!
Classic.

Yeah, beating us in soccer isn't really a good way of getting revenge. That would be like a Japanese fighter pilot dropping a bag of rotten tomatoes over the White House to avenge for Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
(Not to be insensitive about that, btw...)

Vikings' Longwell caught up in Tiger Woods hysteria
Posted by Michael David Smith on December 4, 2009 3:04 PM ET
The ongoing saga surrounding Tiger Woods has is affecting the life of an NFL player: Minnesota Vikings kicker Ryan Longwell.
When he's not in Minnesota, Longwell lives near Woods in Florida, and Longwell said the tabloid attention has made things tough on his family -- especially his wife, Sarah, who has been confused with Woods' wife.
"Sarah and the kids went down Monday after the game," Longwell said. "They said there's paparazzi everywhere at the gates, and the helicopters are overhead all day. My wife is a blonde that wears sunglasses in Florida, so every time she comes out of the gates, they're snapping pictures."
Longwell said he's eager for the story to get out of the headlines so his wife and kids can go back to normal.
"She's got to get the kids to school, so it's not like you can stay inside," Longwell said. "It's just one of those things that you just deal with it. Obviously, it will pass. But how quick it will pass, who knows?"
