Why waste a beautiful day, if you want them to lose?

Tough to see that Brandon isn't going to be able to make his return to FedEx, the scene of so many great receptions. You know, from fingertip to thumb knuckle he's the most talented receiver Al Saunders ever saw.

The Redskins are gonna take it hard from behind today....

So are the Redskins a boy team or a girl team? I'm not sure how to treat this...

I wonder how B Lloyd's music/rap career is going. Besides that one song on the Skins website a few years back, I haven't heard anything from him in awhile.

Posted by: az_david | November 15, 2009 12:13 PM | Report abuse

Aw dammit, I wanted to see Brandon Lloyd play!

I thought dude was out of the league by now.

Cooley and Portis to IR. Let's put some young guys on the roster and give them a chance.

Posted by: League-Source | November 15, 2009 12:25 PM | Report abuse

As much as I would love the Skins to have a top five pick in next years draft, just can't find it in my heart to root for a loss.

Go Skins!

Hail!

game is on cbs today.

Collins will play today, because at some point, Campbell is just not going to be able to stand up after he gets sacked.

Wish today could be like some of the fun football movies, where the team just rallies from within themselves, in spite of the coaching, in spite of all the odds. Don't care if it's last-second field goal or trickery or something one-of-a-kind. We need a victory. And then we need to celebrate a little bit, and then get back to work -- not say, ah, see, the gods/fates/refs are finally on our side.

This season has been its own version of "Marat/Sade," so why not some "Leatherheads" or "Longest Yard" or "Bad News Bears"?

Hail Hogs!

I would also love a top 5 draft pick but i also cant root for a loss. At least not until we are mathematically eliminated

Broncos are only a 4 point favorite.

I'm a life long Skins fan, but you might want to make some of the $ you've given Dan Snyder back on this one.

Posted by: snoopylad | November 15, 2009 12:51 PM | Report abuse

Yes, I will be rooting against the Redskins. I have been rooting against them ever since they lost to the lions. I also won't be going to anymore games. My two seats will be empty the rest of the year.

commentators are missing a interesting point.. Brandon Marshall was picked by the Broncos with one of the Skin's Picks they acquired when the Skins moveed up to get JC in 2005.
sure Snyder is thinking that..

This offense appears to look different with Lewis calling the plays....more motion and BETTER USE OF PERSONNEL!!!

Yoder with 2 TD's in two weeks!

Davis, who was virtually non-existent, is becoming a weapon.

Betts and Cartwright look fresh!

Good question...if the Skins continue to move the ball and score points in the next several weeks, it says to me that we may have some young talent on offense after all, and perhaps a total overhaul may not be necessary, just some major upgrades.

Carlos Rogers needs to be cut tomorrow!

Posted by: Realness1 | November 15, 2009 1:34 PM | Report abuse

This is a much better offense without Portis weighing it down...we have b*tched about the O line and JC but it appears we overlooked the impact a fat, out of shape, lazy ,washed up, no practicing, four flushing RB has on your offensive prowess.

I know he has a heavy salary next year but we would probably be better served just eatingthe $$ and moving on.

Threw two bad balls to stall drives

O-line is giving him time...

Posted by: Skins930 | November 15, 2009 1:40 PM | Report abuse

Jack, I thought that Smoot was playing safety on that.

Posted by: Curzon417 | November 15, 2009 1:41 PM | Report abuse

Posted by: rickyroge | November 15, 2009 1:44 PM | Report abuse

Posted by: Curzon417 | November 15, 2009 1:41 PM | Report abuse

he was, but on the other side of the field, the reason you thought it was smoot was cause landry bit so badly on the underneath route that by the time Marshall caught the ball LL wasn't even on the screen anymore, Smoot was chasing from the opposite side to try and catch him and cover up the idiotic play of Landry.

If that's what the TV announcers said, so be it. I was listening to the radio and they were talking about how Landry wasn't playing the usual free safety position on that play. Doc Walker said they need Landry's speed at free safety...not playing the run.

I am truly sorry for the fans of the Washington Redskins; Having ownership that treats a NFL-chartered franchise like a fantasy football roster is just demoralizing, as the sum of the parts never seem to equal the whole of the team.

As a Nationals fan, I can understand the fans' pain. While the Nationals' problem stemmed from both neglect, and an attempt to gut the franchise & devalue it for contraction, the Redskins suffer from the over-involvement from the ownership trying to micro-manage the team.

By constantly throwing large sums of money after big names, regardless of how they fit in the overall structure, the Redskins have become the NFL version of the late 1960's/early 1970's Yankees under CBS/Steinbrenner, with even less success.

Until the owner steps away from direct involvement with the team, it will only be more of the same on the field.
