Redskins' inactives in Oakland (updated)
Inactive players for the Redskins, in addition to DeAngelo Hall, Albert Haynesworth and Mike Sellers, are Alvin Bowen, Paul Fanaika, D'Anthony Batiste, Richard Bartel and Renaldo Wynn.
Replacing Sellers, Todd Yoder gets his first start since September 2008. He has two catches this year, both for TDs.
Quinton Ganther makes his first start and will get the bulk of the carries at running back. He has only 28 in his career.

Don't know if this topic was already covered earlier, but on the CBS pregame show they said the Steelers are looking for a GM because A) Word is that after 3 years Cowher is ready to coach again next year and B) if he does, the current Pitt GM - Kevin Colbert - will go wherever Bill goes.
If all that's true, is anyone here still interested in the The Chin as HC?
I think I would be, if it means the Skins finally get a legitimate GM.

Interesting to see Cody Glenn line up on offense for the Colts earlier.
This team needs to learn when to cut a player and which players to cut.

Well it seems the odd man out in the RB rotation is Mason. Kelli Johnson mentioned he's not even in the game plan this week. I think this may be his final go with this team.

I am actually looking forward to these last four games to see who can play and who can't.
I'd like a good long look at:
Barnes
L. Jones
Moore
Ganther
Again, the fact that we are looking at young talent on the come, rather than the Bruce Smiths, Pete Kendalls, David Pattons, and others in the twilight of their careers.

Unless Snyder signs a high profile coach that wants complete control, Vinny will probably still be here next year screwing things up.

so Jarmarcus Russell loses the QB job because of a poor performance and poor Won Lost record 2-6.... And Gradkowski goes in and has now won 2 out of 3.
So in 2007, Campbell is going 0-5 W-L, gets injured and Collins goes in and goes 4-0 W-L, becoming NFL Player of the Month along the way.
Now, in 2009, Campbell is 3-9 and STILL keeps his starting position?
No player on the Skins, with a large Contract loses their starting position unless they are injured. It is a team moral killer.. Total bul=l sh-t .. Skins are the only NFL team that practices this.. And why is everyone surprised when the team plays better after the large fat Contract players are injured.. ??

On Campbell I am conflicted. There are two prevailing views.
1) Campbell has had to play in several different systems and has had no consistency. This year he has had a bad line but has played relatively well. He may never be a Peyton Manning or Tom Brady, but he's not the worst either. A better competent line and stability might make him good enough to get the team to the playoffs as the team develops a successor.
2) Yes Campbell has had to face an unfair situation. He has had to deal with lemons, but he has not made lemonade. In crucial games this past year he has failed to win games when it has counted. In at least two or three games, when he was in position to drive the team to win, he threw interceptions or fumbled the ball. And while that may not be totally fair, the NFL is about winning and losing. He has lost games when it has counted.
I see justifications for both sides. Frankly a lot depends on what QB's are available and what the price is in terms of money and draft picks to get them. I would rather the team address the O-Line problems before the QB position because, without a competent line, you could put Tom Brady in the position; and he would still fail.

Don't get so self righteous. Unfortunately almost all civilized countries are facing hard times and have made some drastic financial mistakes. These two articles talk about how Germany is struggling financially and how they screwed up a one time successful health care system. So please take your hypocritical rhetorical a$$ back outside and get some more exercise to clear that biased mind.
