Team Captains Are Set

As practice began minutes ago at Redskins Park, Coach Jim Zorn announced the team captains.

The leaders on offense are left tackle Chris Samuels and quarterback Jason Campbell. Middle linebacker London Fletcher and tackle Cornelius Griffin are the defensive captains and special-teams standout Rock Cartwright and fullback Mike Sellers will handle those duties on special teams.

The only change from last season is Sellers on special teams in place of former Redskins linebacker Khary Campbell, who was not re-signed.

Rick Maese's practice update: All are present. Carlos Rogers, Albert Haynesworth and London Fletcher are in helmets and ready to go.

me thinks too many people are writing the dallass obit. The 4 teams in the NFC East are all relatively close. Each has some stellar parts, are mostly sound. Each has an achilles heel. Their character problems -- like getting crushed in a playoff type game at the end of last year -- are real. Their biggest character problem left town, but he wasn't the only issue. Still, if they solve that problem, they could go a long way -- they could be the most talented team in the NFC East.

fwiw, too many people are writing our obit, too

Good to see a full healthy team is practicing for the Gints game.

Is Chris Samuels the only potential HOFamer among our team captains?

Jason R,

Who are the RI team captains?
