Adam Carriker says he and Jeremy Jarmon are 'good to go'
A day after he got into a weight room squabble with fellow defensive lineman Jeremy Jarmon, Adam Carriker dismissed the incident as a simple disagreement that was blown out of proportion.
"Just two guys who are passionate about what we do, had a little disagreement, and that's all," he said. "It was just [based on] something that happened in practice. To be honest with you, it's one of those things where after the argument, you try to remember what started it and you can't even remember. It was just something little in practice, and we just took it too far."
Carriker joked that there were "no headbutts, no kicks, no nothing like that," and said two or three teammates stepped in the middle of them and broke things up before anything physical happened. Carriker, a starter on the defensive line, is listed at 6-feet-6 and 311 pounds; Jarmon, a little-used reserve, is 6-3, 286.
Carriker said he and Jarmon had never had previous issues, and that they chatted on the phone Thursday night and are "good to go."
"I get home, all of the sudden I'm hearing all this stuff that ain't even close to being true," Carriker said of the media reports about the fight. "I don't even know how it got out."
Carriker also declined to blame the incident on the team's four-game losing streak and disappointing 5-9 record.
"I mean, that doesn't put anybody in a good mood, but I don't think that was attributed to this," he said. "It was just something that happened to happen that day. That was all."

I remember when the Post used write things like who was the strongest player on the team, who had over come great odds to become an NFL pro and which player was likely to become a future star. Now it's controversy after controversy and nothing of any use to the readers. Shame on the Post for becoming the National Enquirer of Redskins coverage.

The Post is far more interested in stoking the fire of locker room turmoil for the Skins and Wizards. The Post are full of a#@holes!
