LaVar Update (Kinda)

Don't know much today that we didn't know yesterday. Arrington's family wants his lawyer, Rosalyn Pugh, to handle all information, and she hasn't called anyone back today, although her office continues to maintain she will be issuing a statement on his status.

From everything I've heard he's fine, same as yesterday. His agent, Carl Poston, said Monday that Arrington broke his arm and broke his leg in several places but suffered nothing life-threatening. Push essentially said the same thing Monday, only didn't name the bones.

Other people I have talked to today say Arrington did indeed fracture his forearm, but suffered only severe lacerations on his leg. So we'll see what the reality is there if/when Pugh gets the word out. Poston did not return messages today. Also heard that some of LaVar's former teammates here had hoped to visit him today but were told by the family that only family members would be allowed in. (Not sure how much to make of that, though it does strike me as a bit odd for some with just some broken bones. Could be an ICU thing, if indeed he is still in that department).

Still can't say for sure 100 percent that he is in the hospital right now, but as of 8 pm people in Pugh's office said they believed that she was still at the hospital with the family. Like I said, still waiting to hear back from her. And even if she does release a statement I have a feeling she might not be saying much beyond the fact that LaVar is stable and doing well.

So there you go. Guess that'll have to do for now, and frankly, not sure how much more there will be to add to this if indeed everything is honky-dory.

Is that how you spell Honky-dory?

That's probably how LaVar spells it.....

What about this Keenan McCardell rumor? Is he even any good anymore? The Redskins already tried this kind of "veteran" receiver. His name was David Patten. And I wish the best for LaVar, this is why I don't drive motorcycles. Why would anyone with his earning potential (even the NFL minimum is like four times my salary) want to chance anything like this. Guess it doesn't matter when you have already made so much already....

McCardell is the 4th Wide Receiver at best.. so I say sign him. He'll be lucky to make the team behind
Thrash (Coaches Favorite)

So I don't see him even signing unless NO ONE wants him..

I know Roz Pugh. She used to be the PG Clerk of Court. She's very nice and personable. I am sure she will call you back JLa.

Huh, Gibbs ORIGINALLY DRAFTED Keenan McCardell. If the coach were George Allen everyone would be saying it's about the the age ...

Didn't McCardell play for KC and Al Saunders? So, it might make sense?

Thanks for this. Does this woman, Pugh, have much experience dealing with the press? Sounds like they're trying to keep something quiet for a while.
