Hmm t_e, makes a helluva lot a sense.
I'll rejoice the day Els is shipped outta here. He'll be the last reminder from the cluster f*** that was him, Archuleta, and Lloyd.
Or Floyd.

If either of the Jasnos are right, this is preparatory to signing Kendall to a 1 year minimum contract.

hmmmmmm, could our front office actually be doing something prudent like releasing the 12th DT on the depth chart to bring in a decent depth olineman?????

You must've tried the new burrito with the bacon bits and potatoes. I can't remember the name right now.
But you could get a courtesy cup of water from Taco Bell and still have the BGs.

Got me a few Meximelts, and pintos and cheese and a big ol' glass of Kool-aid.
I credit the Kool-aid for me not getting my panties in a bunch over the O-line. I am going to try be optimistic until either the season starts or the Kool-aid wears off. The guy in the cube next to me though doesnt appreciate the rancid smell creeping over to him. Sporadic coughing wheezing.

Mattsoundworld...
Trung and Lloyd were both acquired via trade. Not to say they were good moves by any stretch, but there's a difference between trades and free agency.
Of course, we tore up Lloyd's contract and gave him a new one after we traded for him, which for all intents and purposes made him a free agent agent acquisition, but people often confuse trades with free agency, so I'm just here to clean up the mess. :)

when r we going to get a kelvin bryant type 3rd down back, a dependable offensive line, a downfield passing attack, a turnover producing defense that just needs to get the dependable offense another opportunity to score and an owner who we can respect for his willingness to spend but wisdom to hire someone intelligent to make decisions for him like JKC? Then i will be happy again. these last 17 years have sucked

I'll see your Trung Candidate, and raise with Deon Sanders, Mark Carrier, and Christian Fauria.
If you bluff, I'll pull my Shane Matthews card out the deck and take all of your money.

"...Jesus, last year DL, this year OL. WTF?..."
If Heyer is out for the year due to injury, the actions of cutting Jansen and not drafting a tackle would be seen in hindsight as stupid and cause most owners to fire their talent people.
People around the league will say, "Why didn't they keep Jansen around and make sure Heyer was starting material before letting him go?"
People in this blog will say, "WTF! Fire Vinny!"
Jon Jansen will giggle in an RV somewhere near Ford Field.

Go chill Bill! Clinton negotiates the release of Lisa Li's sister and the other US journalists from North Korea.
Maybe he can negotiate with Dan Snyder to stop making personnel decisions, hire a competent and successful GM, just sign checks, stay the hell in the background and in his luxury suite on Sundays.

Been wondering if Carolina will come calling for one of our DTs, and we can arrange a trade for oline depth.

Re: Heyer injury
Our O-line was pretty much going to suck this year anyway.
We plugged holes - Dock for Kendall, Heyer for Jansen; and brought in some experiments for depth.
But you cannot make zero upgrades and expect to get better somehow.
So the upside is that a gimpy Heyer is not a huge dent in the plans for this year.
We are still going to win on the strength of the D. Hopefully, JC and the receivers are more on the same page, and DT11/MK12 can make some strides forward to improve the passing game even if it is just a little bit. If we can work Ladell in a little more to keep CP fresh, then hopefully we can lean on the running game for more than half a season.
All in all the plan has always been to work "around" a crappy Oline, and it still is. It worked for Pittsburgh and Ravens last year, so who konws...

Manapuna - that's Samoan for "should have played offense tackle". If the rumor mill (courtesy of RI) is true, then I would be happy to see Pete Kendall return, but, um, Vinny, we need an offensive tackle. Maybe this just means that they've decided Bridges is going to stick at right tackle, although he currently only holds that position by default - he hasn't shown anything to make me believe he is the answer.

We've already acquired Carolina's backup RG. Jeremy Bridges.

To sum up the situational stats
Tony Romo is an average passer for his first 20 passes / game. From 21-30 he's HOF level (rating over 100).
JC is consistent, except the first 10 not so much which perhaps indicates that JZ's play scripting isn't working very well.

Great! Another brilliant find by the Skin's front office is gone. Maybe Vinny and Danny will convince Brett Favre to come out of retirement, or bring in Michael Vick. The dog fights could be part of the halftime show at Fedex field.
