NFC East: Where's the Beast?

A week ago, I was bragging on the NFC East, and for good reason. But, man, what a tough Sunday-Monday it was for the division.

Dallas had a slew of injuries, none bigger than QB Tony Romo, and that team has been reeling since the Skins whacked them in Big D. They could have lost to the Bungles, and then did lose at Arizona. Not good. The Eagles were getting pounded by lowly San Fran before getting gifted a W with late breakdowns. The Giants had their hands full with the struggling Browns last night, the same club that comes here this week. And the Skins gave away a game to the Rams. Suddenly things have shifted a bit.

What was certainly a bad loss for the Skins doesn't look quite so bad with all that has gone on the last few days. It will be interesting to see whether ex-Skin Brad Johnson is behind center when the Skins come out of their bye to face the Cowboys (also coming out of a bye) and maybe the Eagles will end up being much healthier when they meet the Skins a second time.

They had their hands full, and lost.

An off-week for the East beasts; it happens. Thank the Lord it happened to the Jints and the Girls as well.

Now's the time for the Skins to quit reading the papers, get back to business, and go into the bye 6-2.

AGS, I think the rest of the teams felt bad and decided to let the Eagles feel like they were still in it. We are in a need for a big player in that secondary it seams. Look at our passing D, who scares the S*** out of you?

Wow, I didn't see last night's game, but the Browns apparently manhandled the Giants......I really hope the Rams loss serves as a wakeup. Looks like we might be in for another fight this weekend.
I also don't get this crud about how many experts are saying Dallas should be okay with Brad Johnson as their QB. Romo drives that offense....sure you can count on a bonehead play every once in a while from him, but Brad Johnson is nowhere near the QB that Romo is. We need to take advantage of this and keep on winning to get some separation.
I say we give Alexandar a looksie. At least it won't cost any draft picks. If M. Kelly can't play again this weekend, send him to the IR to make room for alexander, or whoever they pick up.

So how about some positives from this game, cmon you know you saw something remotely good.

Did anyone else notice the Way Chris Horton was getting into the bakfield to get either tackles or slow down Jackson, that was huge he was really stuffing him behind the line before he had a chance to get his momentum going. Hope his low ankle (dont hear that often normally if its a low ankle thy call it a sprain) sprain isnt anything serious, I want his kid on the field at all times.

They would either have to be 7-2 or 6-3

If Betts is going to be out for any length of time, what about dropping Kelly to I.R. so we can sign MARCUS MASON from the Ravens' practice squad? Imagine what Mason could do with the kind of run blocking that Portis has been getting!

In the meantime, get Rock returning punts as well as kicks. ARE is just not getting it done on PR.
