Redskins make another trade -- for two seventh-round picks
In a busy final day of the NFL Draft, the Redskins have made a third trade. They sent their first seventh-round pick -- the 208th overall -- to New England in exchange for two seventh-round selections from the Patriots.
The Redskins still have one more seventh-round pick -- the 219th overall -- as well as No. 229 slot and No. 231. Earlier today, the Redskins traded quarterback Jason Campbell to Oakland and gained a pick by trading their fifth-round selection to Miami.
With that 208th overall pick from Washington, the Patriots selected Vanderbilt tackle Thomas Welch. The Redskins, who started the draft with just four picks, appear poised to walk away with six players.

Terrell Davis and Brady are the 2 6th rounders of fame, and Jacoby was a like a 38th rounder. So out of all of these other 6th and 7th round picks, maybe a half dozen stand out? Why are there so many rounds again?

Jamar Chaney
Syd'Quan Thompson
Selvish Capers
LaGarrette Blount
That has to be what we're looking at now.
Really looked like we were going for Rolle and when Tennessee got him right before us we traded down. Hopefully we dont lose whichever of the above we're targetting at 7-12

Usually you have to pay a higher signing bonus to a UFA than to a 7th rounder if the UFA has two teams that want him.

Really?! Can he play RT? Shoooot! Bring in the FA oldies.
Also, I'm pretty upset at the FO for giving up Campbell for such a ridiculous steal! We gave up 2 1st round picks for him only 3 years ago and then you give him away for only 1 4th round pick 2 f-ing years from now. That is really piss poor and shows you had zero faith in him. That's a real slap in the face to Campbell and I hope that history doesn't show you've given up a long-term talent.
Show me what you've got up your sleeve to improve the team more between now and the start of the season! Just win, baby!

OK another real need pick here, huh? OURLADS doesn't even have him listed. Scouts Inc/ESPN has him as the 41st ranked WR and PFW has him as the 72nd, yes that's Seventy-second!!
How about Selvish Capers or LeGarrette Blount?

Austin - 60th in the NCAA in Kick Returns, 34th in Punt Returns, and 22nd in the PAC-10 in receiving yards.
Nothing special to see here, just a training camp body and wasted pick. You can find return guys with those kind of numbers and better among undrafted players.

For what it's worth, NFL Network points out that T.J. Houshmanzada and Donald Driver were 7th round picks... just saying, as I am an optimist.
For the love of God, front office, get Capers (OT, West Virginia) and Blount (RB, Oregon) if they're there, which they should be if Jesus is smiling on the Redskins, alas.

There's gonna be an NFL wide OL yard sale after this draft. Faneca anyone? Like the UCLA KR pick and his work ethic & speed. UCLA head coach says he is head and shoulders the hardest worker and pound for pound strongest player on the team. Needed him so Devin Thomas can play WR without the return duties/injury.
