No Landry Deal Tonight

Coach Joe might be a gettimg a little miffed because despite his hopes of a Landry deal being done any minute now this afternoon, I hear this thing will drag into Sunday morning, if not longer, and will not go down Saturday night. My gut tells me a deal gets done by Sunday afternoon, maybe even in time for LaRon to practice, but they still have a few things to iron out.

A league source brought up a good point to me today as well - Landry's agent, Joel Segal, represents the 5th overall pick, Levi Brown, who is unsigned in Arizona, so Segal may want to play the teams off one another to get the best deal possible for both clients, given how these picks are often slotted. Also, Segal is Mike Vick's agent as well, so it's been a busy week for him no doubt.

Regardless, I don't see this dragging on beyond this weekend.
