No Sign of Samuels

Chris Samuels is not on the field. That's not a good sign for the Pro Bowl left tackle, and if Stephon Heyer does have to play, it could get ugly (Jason Campbell was nearly seriously hurt in the preseason against Pittsburgh last year with Samuels out and Heyer in).

Meantime, Santana Moss is running easily and working without any trainers hovering over him, which matches what I was hearing - that he will play.

We should have the inactives in 20 minutes or so.

SHOTGUN TO PROTECT CAMPBELL. Let him step up and see the field immediately.

maybe he is getting some "medication". Are the ydoing the group drills yet? or is it still "personal" time?

That's reassuring Jasno, as if I'm not nervous enough about the matchup.

I don't like that Samuels is hurting. but it'll be worse if Campbell winds up hurting because Samuels is hurting

Still looks like personal time jduging from the kolber shot on espn. IF Samuels knee is bugging him, no need ot come out too early and agravate it. Better to wait and just get warm before the kick off. Group drills will tell the tale. They will evaluate him during the group warm ups to see if he is go or no go.

Cue the heroic entrance right before kickoff, when Samuels runs out of the tunnel, shucks off his cape (is it cold?) and goes right into the game.

With Pittsburgh's secondary, there will be open people.

Just got to make some time for the Soup. Step up, Heyer and Jansen.

Go Skins, destroy the Steelers. Thanks for the update JLC.

This is like when George Allen used to love the national spotlight when his team was the underdog. Everyone doubts our team - we can win and make a statement tonight.

GO SKINS!

Why is the Maroon and black wearing burgundy on burgundy?

+++Let's all give everything to root for our Redskins team tonight. I think that if we can please forget our small and insignificant differences on this weblog it will help us win. The power of positive prayer works!+++

Of course, because God has nothing better to do than grant the wishes of sports fans.

Excuse me The Cork, but have you somehow missed every team praying before the game? Or maybe you missed them pointing to the sky after scoring touchdowns?

=============================================
Isn't the key term here "every team"?

How does the sky god decide which team to favor? (But of course, He is a Redskins fan, I just mean in those other games.)

Samuels is a go per Suzy Kolber on ESPN. Guess they didn't ruin all their sources by having a terrible relationship with the team.
