You did this quite early last week!
Did you not learn from your mistake last week?
Good grief!

Skins D can't stop anyone. Skins coaches going for FG instead of TD. Sounds like the same old Skins to me.

This poll.

This game.

All of it sucks.

Posted by: gimmesummoe | September 26, 2010 6:41 PM | Report abuse

Quite frankly, I'd like to know what happened to Clinton Portis? The Skins were down 5 with the ball at midfield and threw 3 incomplete passes. Meanwhile CP was averaging close to 6 yards a carry? Don't think they will run the ball now down 8.
Again, terrible coaching on both O and D for the Skins. Going for a FG inside the 5 with 3 runs?! HELLO!? We are playing to LOSE. Just like last week, LOSERS FIND WAYS TO LOSE.

Posted by: JeanJak | September 26, 2010 6:45 PM | Report abuse

What, we got only one receiver?

Posted by: gimmesummoe | September 26, 2010 6:50 PM | Report abuse

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHY THE SKINS ABANDONED THE RUN?!?! I SWEAR THIS TEAM MAKES DUMBS GOOD COACHES. HOW IN THE WORLD DID THE COACH STOP RUNNING THE BALL WITH A LOSER AS A LT IS BEYOND ME. HOW MANY TIMES DID THE RUN THE BALL WITH CP IN THE 2ND HALF?!!? WHAT A BUNCH OF FREAKING LOSERS. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

Posted by: JeanJak | September 26, 2010 6:52 PM | Report abuse

WHY DO WE HAVE HAYNESWORTH ON THE TEAM IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO USE HIM IS BEHOND ME. WHY IS THE DEVIN THOMAS STILL ON THE TEAM IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO USE HIM AS A WR IS BEYOND ME. MORE IMPORTANTLY WHY DID WE SWITCH FROM A 43 TO A 34 D WITH A TOP 10 D LAST YEAR IS BEYOND ME. THIS IS THE WORST D IN THE NFL AND WE HAVE THE PERSONEL FOR A 43 D.
AGAIN, THIS TEAM DUMBS COACHES. LOSERS!

Posted by: JeanJak | September 26, 2010 6:57 PM | Report abuse

This coaching staff has done a terrible job. The defense has essentially the same players and is performing far worse than last year. The team isn't suited for a 3-4; there's almost no pass rush; the dispute with Haynesworth has debilitated the team. As to the offense, the refusal to trade for a quality receiver and the unwillingness to use Portis throughout the game both show a triumph of stubbornness over acumen. Clinton should be offended.

They are playing just like their owner-pathetic! Getting shredded on "D" even with Jackson on the bench. Has Albert made a ply in this game yet alone this season yet? The Rams are one of the worst teams in football along with Danny's boys.

Posted by: Riddler1 | September 26, 2010 7:06 PM | Report abuse

Skins are awful, as everyone has noted. They're different than last year, though: last year they were inept, and this year they're competent, but simply getting beaten by teams--outcoached, outmuscled. It's gonna be a very long year, but at the end of it we'll be 4-12, just like last year. I HATE the 3-4 D!!!

starting to think we can't blame this ineptitude on the reign of snyder. is it possible we've just developed a team of losers?

Posted by: Siranthony | September 26, 2010 7:20 PM | Report abuse

The Redskins set the standard for mediocrity in the National Football League in every aspect save one -- making money for the owner. In that, they're number 1 and folks, that's all that Dan Snyder cares about. Fans? He's laughing at you all the way to the bank.

The Redskins are stepping stones--the Lions last year and the Rams this year. I think the Lions need another assist this year. Perhaps the Skins can help?

Rams had lost 14 straight at home before Danny's Boys showed up for an easy victory for them

Redskins Coaching and Player personnel decisions are horrible...We play with 3 Wideouts in which two of them are decoys, Roydell Williams and J Galloway are not good, one of them cant catch and the other can't separate.
We got a premier D-Lineman who only plays in specific packages and a 6ft+ WR who only returns kicks.... These personal vendettas and mismanagement of our team must stop....Free Devin Thomas and Haynesworth.

stop your screaming and crying I have said all along that shanahan and haslett have not won anything for years in the nfl a few others have mentioned the same. these guys are making tons of money and this team is still getting kicked in the azz by rookie qb's the defense is offensive, changing to the 3-4 so far has been a disaster and vick and the eagles will be ready to bust them wide open next sunday. many of you here are nothing but shanahan kool-aid drinkers until I see a change this could be another 5-11 season even with mcnabb and he will leave afterwards.

Posted by: wathu19 | September 26, 2010 7:28 PM | Report abuse

The main difference between last year and this year? They throw the ball more..., they still suck, but they are more exciting in their suckiness.

Posted by: 44fx2901 | September 26, 2010 7:35 PM | Report abuse

This is not a game lost on coaching. We have a bad collection of players that we cannot blame this regime. With Trent Williams out, we have Heyer in and he is horrible. Our defense cannot stop a rookie qb who until today was awful. We will lose to Eagles, Packers, and Colts. Then we will be 1-5. Wait till next year, another brillant Snyder team coming.

I need no longer waste my Sundays watching the Loosers. The Skins will be lucky to win 3 games this season. Fire the defensive un coordinator. He can't prepare the team for a game. Next, the whole secondary has got to go. They can't even cover a snail crawling down the field. The concept of the 3-4 is not being played. Roydell williams has got to go. But mainly the secondary. You can't play20 yards off of a reciever and expect to stop him.

Donavan McNabb stunk in Philly; now he stinks in DC. The owner, Danny Snider sucks more than "Bishop" Eddie Long. Glad to see the Skins will always suck as long as Danny is the owner.

They are not worth my time to watch. Any inclination I had to buy any Redskin product is now on hold.

If they had last years Defense with this years Offense, they might be 3 and 0. Maybe the 3-4 Defense will workout, so far it has lost two games, and if not for good fortune in the Dallas, would have cost three.

Posted by: moralcompass1 | September 26, 2010 8:21 PM | Report abuse

Some of the most horrible coaching and in game personnel decisions in some time,(like last year) were made today in the loss suffered by our beloved Redskins. Coach and son were outcoached and schooled today by the coaches of the sorry St.Louis Rams.

Why in the hell was Clinton Portis a multi-year pro bowler on the sideline, in favor of a practice squad player, who looked like a new version of Crazy Legs Hirsch but without the athleticism. He ran akward.

Posted by: 72Redskins | September 26, 2010 8:22 PM | Report abuse

Anger, despair, disappointment, discouragement, take your pick if you are a Redskin fan like me. It does not matter who coaches or who is the quarterback. I used to make fun of fairweather fans..but now I think they will all live longer--and much happier lives. It does not matter that the team has a proud history or that we honor our former players, we have a proven new GM now--so what, it all means nothing.

Like many fans, I just can't take the beating anymore. 106.7 the fan, Washington Post articles, Comcast sportsnet, ESPN, they will all bombard me with negatives about the Redskins and they will ALL be right! We will never have enough linemen, the right running back who will play the whole game and shut his mouth, a good defensive line, enough fast wide receivers, its a big pile of demoralizing.... Hazlett and McNabb were mistakes. We heard about rebuilding and got a load of win now building our house on the sand. There is no foundation.

LaVar and Chad, Portis and Cooley, all you talking heads and millionaires..
keep chattering..it means nothing, we are oveloaded. Haynesworth still gets his money, Dan gets his money, all the players and coaches get the money.the media gets the money..the fan gets despair.

With this loss to the mighty Rams, it becomes obvious that the 'skins will lose many more games than they will win this season.

Posted by: greggsol | September 26, 2010 9:39 PM | Report abuse

The skins start off the game with a kick-off out of bounds. That pretty much said it all. The entire team seemed like they weren't ready for this game. From the offense to the defense and even the coaches. What is up with this team??? The punter gets injured during warm up??? This game reminded me of a Jim Zorn game. I thought Shannahan was the ultimate motivator. What the &*%^$ happened?

By the way the 3-4 Jim Haslett defense SUCKS!! They can't stop an ANYONE! Maybe fat Albert was right when he wanted to stay in the 4-3. We've got a bunch of d-linemen pretending to be linebackers. What the f*^K is going on??

We will be lucky to win 6 games this year.

The skins can't cover the quick pass/release, amongst many other problems. I hate it when the coverage man is twenty feet away from the receiver at the start of the play. Our defense, the only half way decent aspect of the last few years, looks like swiss cheese.

What the Redskins picked up in Mc Nabb they have more than lost in the horrendous decline of the defense. At times the secondary seems almost nonexistant and the line should name itself Swiss Cheese.

We clearly do not have the personnel to do a 3-4 alignment yet. Need to go back to a 4-3 until next year, and get the linebackers you need for this in the off season. We are simply getting killed by the linebacker play. The outside is not fast enough to cover the flats, and the inside are getting swept away by the O-guards. If your Strong Safety is doing all the tackling, it means you are not making the plays up front. We have the players for a 4-3 without changing the roster at all. Then maybe next year try the 3-4 and pickup linebackers in the offseason (if there is one).

We never saw a Greg Blatch or Greg Williams defense look this terrible, especially for 2 straight weeks. Atleast those coaches knew how to make adjustments. Looks like the secondary is playing zone defence on every snap. Ever heard of jamming a player at the line of scrimmage Haslett??

the skins will now be known to be one of the many mediocre teams of all time. in their 75+ years history, they may have 10-15 good years at tops--in my lifetime, maybe 6 or 7. they have always had a handful of top notch players at one time, but rarely play as a cohesive bunch in order to have a successful year. snyder has outdone himself this year spending more bizzilions again and getting no return on his investment. so all of you still buying redskin paraphanalia and feeding danny's ego,....suckers!!

Rate the Redskins: How did they play against the Rams? For this rating we need to break out the negative scale. They let another rookie QB play like Joe Namath, unknown RB run like Jim Brown. Coaches completely out coached and the uniforms were ugly as H _ _ L !!!
