Portis: "It's a Focus Thing"
Dan Steinberg spoke with Clinton Portis after the game. Among Portis' observations:
"I think it's a focus thing," Portis said of the offensive performance. "You know, the previous four games the focus was there. We knew that we couldn't go out and put ourselves in that position. We come out today and all of the sudden you start to get patted on the back and you feel like you're a better team, 'Ok, let me try to do this.' And we turn the ball over, and 'Oh, don't worry, we can come back.' And that didn't work."

I know that focus will be higher against Cleveland next week. I was quite depressed an hour or so ago, but no worries....I'm still on the bandwagon!

Why...Why...Why...does this team rip my heart out. So close...
I hope this lights a fire under them. They seem to have most of the pieces needed to make a run into the playoffs but can not revert back to the way they played under Gibbs 2.0...

It looks like DAL is pulling away from ARZ.

Jim Zorn- too conservative play calling. We should have lit it up against a depleted secondary and they lost someone in the game. How many times did we go deep??
Because the O-lione couldn't keep JC upright. Did you see the game???

The Skins had better take care of the Browns. Consecutive losses to the Rams and Browns would turn a potentially great season into a Norvlike disaster.

Tough loss. At the end of the year we may look back as huge missed opportunity. In any other division it could be a minor set back but don't be surprised if this costs the Skins big in the end.
I thought Zorn wasted a timeout that they could have used to at least force a kick off from the Rams in the end.. Zorn needs to learn in the 2nd half don't call timeouts unless you really need too.
Oh well 4-2 at this point is not too bad.

SF is now ahead 26-17. Maybe they can hold on. It would good to see PHL knocked out of the NFC East race, although I am watching ARZ falter with a forlorn face.
